While I agree with the logic that throwing a blanket over someone isn't hard so wouldn't require the higher level..... by that very same logic anyone should be able to heal fire by throwing a blanket over someone! or.... you wouldn't need to worry about that all you would have to do is Stop Drop and Roll.

You could always argue the ability should go to CM's. I mean the glowing water ballons fits right in
I'd really like to be able to shape and collorthe ballons though. I mean could you imagine seeing a CM toss a pink poodle area water ballon?

Can we get some sort of roleplay title system that corrosponds to what tier pilot we are. AND along with pilot that info, ranks, badges, the current land /examine, stuff etc..
To show up when you /examine a players ship? Instead of getting their ship deed examine info.

If (and I am aware that all the information is not currently avaliable) the Doctor Profession is to have a weakened role (i.e. nothing is done to replace our usefullness that was once buffing) I prepose that the requirements to be a doctor be lessened.
As well I want to whine
about only having 3 lines total released to us as healers in the CU notes (which is a wonderful way to create anger and confusion)

eh to clarify, buffing made us usefull, however, healing wounds and healing states is not very usefull when it so limits me. Master medic heals damage as well as Doctors do and I seriously doubt that wound healing will be lucrative enough to entice doctors to master and sit in med centers or outside of starports healing for money (and the doctors who are not "buff bots" (I use the term lightly and mean no disrespect to them) will surely not!)

ok now before i post the rest a few months ago i was jsut as angry supicious and bitter as many of you are so I come by this advise from first hand experiance
I started out as a dancer june 10th 2003 i was a dancer from that day on and have never dropped it I love dancer and I love this game.
That being said seeing all of our issues lack of attention and especially botts and the community attitude towards us left me angry mad ticked pissed and all in all very negative i couldnt read these boards without wanting to throw something
Then I quit for two months lpayed the game that muct not be named but missed my friends missed dancing missed my clothes
and came back and fell in love with the game all over again.
And so my suggestion is if you are to the point where you can see little to no good in the new changes and reading these boards jsut make you more upset and all you can post are negative angry posts then maybe you should take a break even if its just for a few days or even if its jsut from the forums I did and it improved my attitude immensly.
I know that our past history makes us wary of our future but we've been the squiky wheel and it just doesnt work for us instead lets try to be more positive and work for more open communication with the devs because quite frankly if i was them i wouldnt want to talk to us either for the most part all we do is b!tch would you want to communicate with people like that.
I'm not saying we have to all become little mary sunshines but lets try at least to see the good the hope and the signs that hey at least there considering us at all instead of flaming ranting and crying about every change that isnt exactly whatr we asked for.

I agree!
It makes a world of difference.
(By the way, is this the final post?

I don't think this stance is going to earn many flames right now. Other than a couple of hold out grumps that have just decided to take any opportunity to rant about the "evils of SOE!!!11!!", I think most people in here are pretty excited that cool stuff might actually be on the way for us soon. Most people seem to be really open minded and hopeful about Eshie and Scip being talked to about performer additions and that a Dev actually came out of lurk to tell us about it. Woot! \o/
Our corrs are polling for actual prep-work feedback. Not just "hey, look at us" attempts, lol (which was pretty much my corr mode
). A dev really asked for suggestions and everybody saw that. I think we're actually doing pretty good.
Now we just have to stay sane and active in here and out in the Dev threads until we actually see what our additions are going to look like and when we'll be able to get our hot little hands on them. So yeah, when that gets too hard to keep up, I hope most of us will just take a little break and come back when our heads have cooled down a bit.
I think most of us can do that now though.

My appreciation for SWG overall was greatly improved by, not taking a break actually (my account remained open, I kept logging in once in a while) but cutting back my time and playing City of Heroes for the most part instead. COH is fun as far as it goes, which is combat and nothing else... but it doesn't go very far. And when I saw how much trouble their devs were having balancing a 1-dimensional game with only 5 classes, it did give me some better appreciation for what our devs have to deal with. My outlook did change some, and I have more fun in game than I was having last spring when I switched to mostly playing COH for a while.
That doesn't mean I started liking AFK bots or anything... but it did change how I looked at things. Taking a break if things get to stressful is good advice, especially in light of the fact that this is a GAME, and the point is to have FUN... not to score political points against your supposed "adversaries."

Aye, its a very wise post - some good advice. I left the game for a few months just to take a break, as I too felt the game and these boards were just an exercise in depression and rising blood pressure. However, now I'm back with as much energy as ever, and whilst I am still not 100% happy with everything game mechanics/status wise, the most important thing is I have found the fun factor again.
So, I highly recommend it if you are feeling burnt out - take a break, play another game, read a book, anything. Just give yourself to come back and look at things with fresh eyes.
