At First I thought this was a really cool Idea ... then I realised, wait, I have to pay 45 bucks minimum for that ship that I'm ..getting for free? (45 is based on expansions generally costing 29.99 at release, and of course the 14.99 subscription ) hmm... doesn't seem very free ... how about saving the lady luck for those who do six months of the expansion ... and give those of us veterens in game something like ... a special non-tradable swoop bike? Why not? I know why not, this is called a marketting strategy, created to add just ONE more insentive to those who have already invested way too much time and money into this game to invest some more into the expansion .... why? to make sure release of the expansion is a big splash ...
oh well, can't be suprised ... I am a media literacy teacher ... so I know how it works ... the ship is pretty, but it's probably the most expensive ship in the game.

Does that mean that even though in the Account detials page when it lists the status as Canceled (game card users see that even the day they have input the game card info, IE it never says active). we can ignore that ?
I'm just worried because my account has been "canceled" for 9 months now (although, being a gamecard user, I've been playing it non stop the whole time). But after using my latest game card, my account, for the first time in months, says active.
I've been playing SWG since day 5 (used a bank card for the 1st 3 months) and I'm gonna be very dissapointed if, because of oversights, I'm not considered a veteran...

Love the ship.
But, I think to be a vetern you should have played for at least one year. Maybe a different ship should be given out to the people in the next 6 months after the yacht, and the current "veterns" get the choice, keep the yacht, or trade it for the new one.

I would like to agree with the folks saying that the reward should be an item that we can enjoy now and not whenever the expansion is released. (A new speeder would have been nice.) A reward should not force someone to purchase an expansion just to use it. No offense to anybody elses views. Just my opinion.

Well that wouldn't be the best way for them to try to sell the JtL expansion now would it
... of course I'd buy the expansion anyways so I get your point about current content that we could all use

Allright.. I know its been asked before, but ive spent 2 hours readin this tread now, and still havent found an answer..
Will this be furnishable as the yt-1300?
That would make the reward even greater

Damn, I had cancel my account to change of payment method, went from monthly payment to a 3months payment and now I learn I'm not considered a veteran from day one, great job SOE, really great job !

Well I hope that they count only the initial joining date and not the amount of posts...
Cause well, if they count posts, I'm never gonna get that ship, but in join date, no trouble on this side...

Bewchy, It has nothing to do with forums but game..
If you have played for 6 months without cancelling ur account by the time we get JTL, its yours..

It looks cool, everyone thinks you made a mistake making it 6 months wait though, keep it like that its better than waiting a year.

Can I please please please beg this not be consecutive months.
I have been playing for 7 now, I think, and only recently I had to cancel my subscription for a fortnight due to some hardware errors that caused a complete lock down of the system, so I figured it was wiser to save themoney that would be wasted on SWGwhile I couldn't use it so I could purchase the necessary hardware, afterreplacing several pieces of hardware Iwas able to play again. I am but one of many who are in this boat I am certain.The fact that it is consecutive rules out many people: Those who were drunk and cancelled, those who play using Game Cards those who were having bank problems at the time, and even those who were briefly struck by poverty. It is not a fair thing to throw these people out of this band wagon due to some misjudgement or some twist of fate.
I love this game and I hope you see the wisdom in my very confusing words. Please I am trying to be constructive here, and I hope to be hitting the mark. If the consecutive tthing is forced it will cause anger from your members, remember without the players SWG is nothing and if the players are angered then you may loose them, think about it have a conference talk to the players the correspondents and remember what the Rebellion stands for: All living beings no matter their species deserve the same rights no matter their class or standing, unless they're Imperial. I hope this doesn't just get ignored like I'm certain so many of these posts are.

This would have been cool as well. I LONG for a AV-21 Speeder and Don't feel like paying the 3.5 mil to get one, I can't find anyone to do the vette with and NO way to solo it myself. I have an AV on the Test server and LOVE IT, It would be my only ride of choice. But I am happy with the gift of a ship, I wish it was something we could have now and agree with you but am still very happy to be able to have a mulit-player ship on the day we get JTL. I was hoping the other reward was going to be the speeder and not the painting... anyone want a number of painting for an AV-21?
