Just checked it, and Mark 4 protons are level 9 ship equip.


level 9 and 10 are master level equip.


So, yes, he is talking entirely about master level missles.

My mistake, then. But, right now, on our server anyway, no decent High Grade Polymetric Radioactive (the specific resource needed for mark3 and up missiles) has spawned yet. But, with good poly radio, when it spawns, you should be able to easily hit 7k to 8k damage, maybe even more, as well as get more shots per pack on Mark III missiles.


As far as the missiles not getting a solid hit on maneuverable targets, it is more realistic. But, more than that, different types of missiles react different ways.


For instance, concussion missiles *aren't supposed to directly hit the target*. They blow next to it. Also, it has become more possible to dodge a missile, and the AI has this capability also. So, obviously, it will be harder to damage more maneuverable ships.


Also, that AI has become alot more efficient at firing their countermeasures. So, if you don't notice much damage, more than likely they got their countermeasure off.

Yea I have 28K Damage space bombs, Shot one agasint the Corvette Shields and took it down 35% shot it against a gunboat at less then 200M and it did 1% damage...... /shrug







Yes, remember, on some ship, gunboats especially, you need to take the shields down some before you can start damaging components. The Vette has the guns and components more out in the open than gunboats.

Installed a concussion launcher in my ship and then tried to load some concussion missles, but I was told that they were the wrong type of ammo for the slot. Pretty sure I am qualified to use the launcher, since I was able to install it. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

They must be the same level of missles too, for example mark II missles won't work in a mark III launcher.

I had the same problem with Mark II missiles. Later on when I logged back in they worked fine though.
