Thread: heavy tie

Err... that engine is crap. I disagree on roll also, as roll can help you tighten a turn quite a bit in a dogfight. I am constantly rolling inmost fights against good PVP dogfighters. While the Heavy TIE may get a nice bonus to the stats of the engine, it's still not going to be out turning JSFs running 72+ PYR or even X-wings running 81+ PYR. Not even close. On top of that, the Heavy TIE has a large target box on its profile, due to that obnoxiously large panel, making it a much easier target than it should be.

Not that I wouldn't do it myself as a new player. Just gotta point out that you will miss some of your unofficial, "training."
QFE.
and Later on you can feel good about yourself as ppl wonder why you can outfly/out kill their JSF's. I espicaly love the, "what do you have in that thing?!" kind of comments.

A second weapon and more spread on the fire would be nice, though ... I'm beginning to see just WHY Imp pilots hate A-Wings.
Be careful what you wish for. I'd rather have centered fire than the wide fire like the Z95 or the ARC 170. The wide spread make the Z95 a bit more akward. It requires Yawing into the target. As for Awings, which I flew since T4 up untilROTW, the spread is nasty when trying to track Ties.
Spend one hour on a Tier 3 spawn, sell the loot = 400k.
No quests to gain it, only available from your nearest shipwright. You could do a deal and mine the 1000 Iron Asteroid and 1000 Petrochem Asteroid that it takes to make one of them, and that would reduce the price by a good 200k.
My apologies, I thought you were closer to Master.
Do the beginning of the mining quests from Kashyyyk, get yourself a free mining laser and cargo hold. Then you can go mine the resources yourself. Offer to trade with the SW, he/she will probably give you a pretty good deal. It's the asteroid resources that really push up the price.
No problem.
On the Pilot forum, there's a post somewhere called "Red Dwarfs Idiots Guide to Space Mining" that you might wanna have a look at. Might answer some questions.
