Sigh, all you did to get Jedi was master a bunch of profs that take 3 days to master. Thats where my animosity comes from. All it took to get Jedi was an abundance of time, not skill.

I'm not expecting much else but don't act like you earned you Jedi by some sort of combat prowess. All you did was play too much. If the way to Jedi required you to have skill in combat, I could understand Jedi being awesome, but it doesn't.

jedi are only "awsome" if they grinded out their class to be that way.. fyi for a jedi to block that high and besomewhat "awsome"its 15,200,000 jedi exp... that took alot of work you gotta give them that.

Well here is the thing.
If whatever you do as Jedi doesn't affect my SWG experience, then well who cares? go ahead, have all the power you want and go wild.
But if what Jedi do affects my gaming hours. Then Nope, not gonna just let you run around with impunity.
And ya'll keep brining up the fact that most profession take 30 hrs to master while it took you months to get your Jedi.
Are you people on some kind of special "get whipped into Jedi" program that I don't know about?
If two person create their account in same day, and spent 6 months playing, One person may master his profession in 30 hours while another will have Master Jediafter 6 months.
But let see how that 6 months are spent.
First person master his profession in 3 days. Then what? he go relaxing in cantina for 6 months while naked chics bring him beer all day? they just give him stuff for free and he is living large?
Here is a shocker. No. He actually continue playing. He log in, get buffed, get missions and occasionally he go to dungeons and maybe big game hunt.
Now doesn't that sound famillier?
When I was holo-grinding, I log in, got buffed, got mission and went and killed. When I got bored, I logged in my main for few hours and went to dungeon and big game hunt with my PA buddies. And after I unlocked my Jedi, I loged in, got buffed, got mission and went and killed.
What is the difference?
Just how YOU as Jedi "sacrificed" for 6 months? you get same buff and you get same mission and you do same stuff that 90% of combat profession do everyday. Yet some how when YOU do it it is more difficult? more "noble"?
It isn't like you went out and helped a homeless for 6 months.
You sat in your chair and played a game like rest of us for 6 months.
Just how little have you achived in your life so that you want THIS to be recognized as your"big" accomplishment?
eesh!

Nah we can't kill the same stuff endlessly. We gradually have to move up to harder and harder creatures. Its not like mastering Rifleman on quenkers for 3k a pop xp. We gotta go kill rancors for 1k a pop xp. Huge difference there. We're the only profession in the game with any form of real death penalty. Oh whooptie you have decay. Yet you can still equip fully decayed clothes for their stat mods. We in turn now lose upwards of 200k xp.
The question to ask is "What is the point of levelling and paying to play completely isolated in a MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER Online game?"

More like 3 hours, go to prof's forum, read guide and practice it with some friends for a few hours. How long does it really take to learn to eat food, drink brandy, hit COB macro, dizzy, lunge, scatter hit 2?

Bahchu wrote:You've got to be kidding me! Anybody else wanna whine about why their profession which took them 3 days to master isn't as strong as one that can't be mastered in two months? Are there that many people who lack common sense? Sure, Jedi is stronger now, we can actually defend ourselves IF we are high enough level. Otherwise it's the same ol' thing, get pwned by anybody who has invested all of 20 hours to make their character uber! SERIOUSLY SHUT UP!!!! Come to us AFTER you have some sort of real time investment in your template. Remember that we have been holed up for months while you have switched from FOTM to FOTM actually enjoying the game. Now, we actually get to enjoy the game ourselves for once, and all you can do is complain. And in response to everybody else who whines and moans about how there are way more jedi in the game than there were in the movies, are you serious? Have you really given this any thought at all, or are you just repeating what somebody else said and hope it makes you sound intelligent? I don't recall seeing rancors or graul maulers in the starports in Star Wars. How many teras kasi did you see? Combat medics? Fencers? I think you get the point! This is a game, and there is no way it can be based on the 'reality' of the movies, I don't see anyone wanting to become a moisture farmer! The 'reality' is that most people were probably just doing normal jobs to pay their bills, but that doesn't make a very good game does it? So let's just enjoy the game, and drop the wholereality argument of why there shouldn't be so many jedi running around. 'Nuff said!PerniciousDark JediScylla

Well you are certainly Missing the Point. It has been our time spent that is something that we can never get back. 2months to evene get far in a profession compared to 2 days. I don't think you guys are being rational here. IF a Jedi has no PvP Skills at all HE WILL STILL DIE. That is the problem. No matter how powerfuly you are if you don't know how to PvP you will still DIE. THAT IS THE POINT. I don't care if he is a Jedi or Melee, it will still come down to still in the end. I guartuee that with my profession I can beat a Jedi, and safe to say, it is sad that I can. FINE lets have SOE make all the professions 2months to grind then. The problem i have is that the devs are yield not to the majority but to those whiner who don't want other people better than them.
