Hello
Is there any "rule" about pricing the craftet items? I've seen a few architechts with 1000 cr as a prise for a harester deed. But what about weapons? I know that I can sell a CDEF Rifle for 3-400 cr, but is that high or low.
Are there any pricelists avialble?
Go check out other weaponsmiths on you server. Prices are determined by local economy, stats of weapons, and what other sell for. Also, some servers have better resources for certain guns, so those weapons may go for higher prices than on other servers.

Greetings Tailors!
I read a bit of this on another thread and I didn't want to "thread jack" so I started a new one ![]()
I am a Novice Tailor on the Tempest server, which, for those that don't know, is a new server. I have Casual I, Formal I and Formal II so far.
Now, my question about pricing. How do you folks figure your prices? Most of mine I have kinda made up prices really. They have no order, no rhyme or reason. What I did was, I went to another server, visited a Master Tailor's shop and took a look at what she was charging. Some I changed a bit, others I kept the same depending on whether I thought the item would sell well or not.
To be honest, I am totally at a loss as to what to sell things for. So far most of my clothing is flying off the shelf so to speak, but how do I know if I am selling myself short?
Any input and advice would be very much appreciated! I figured I would sell, for instance an exotic leotard for 10k. I would say that is a reasonable price considering they are a master item. But what is bothering me is that I have no formula for pricing, it's all made up and guesswork. Is this a bad thing? I don't know..
Thanks for your time in advance!
Here is a page posted a while back on the boards. It's a calculator that adjusts to cost per unit of materials used in crafting. Pretty handy. Hope this helps.

I use the calculator mentioned above and then fine tune it a bit based on demand.
I just wish it printed out the prices in alphabetical form ... that way I could find Heavy Gloves fast rather than trying to remember which colum of Field Wear it is.
I retyped everything in alphabetical order, it's so much easier!
I also use the calculator but I seem to end up pricing my items less than most people for some reason, but I guess that once I am Master and get more requests I can increase prices some. Anyway, I charge about 5 cr per material, 10 per hide and 15 per rare material to give you an idea (factory made items are doubled). Then I multiply the result by 1.25, 1.5, 2 etc for each level of skills. Then I change prices a bit, and charge more when I put items in bazaar but somehow I can't see myself charging 3k for a cloak lol
I don't like sticking to formulas to much. I prefer using good ole supply and demand.
I set a base price for items based on demand, then I add on to the item for each socket in it. I don't like the price per tier system, as it's not a fair evaluation to me. For instance I can't sell many tier 3 & 4 items to save my skin, BUT I can sell Patterned Wookie Gloves and Uniform Boots by the BOAT LOAD at 2-3k with 4 sockets. I started out low on price for these, like 400, but when they sold out within a day, I started raising my price until I saw I reached the value that net me the best return based on sales and price. Why sell something for 1k in FW1 when you can get 3k for it? I don't understand the logic there.
As someone posted before, don't undervalue your products, there is a HUGE demand for clothing, it's just a matter of whether you will put the time in to create an awareness of your products.
You can save the web page with the results of the calculator on your hard drive. Before you start the game just open that page up in your browser. Then you can just alt-tab or alt-esc between the game and the web page. Use the find command in your web browser (ctrl-f) and type in the name of the item you want. Seems to work really well for me.
