The majority of peeps having issues seem to be running Win2k, my problem has gone to an extreme however. After about 8 crashes in SWG my PC would not boot again. Seems my GeForce 4 happened to blow itself up, had to put my old GForce 3 Titanium in to even get my pc to boot back up this time, I'm sure the two are not related but damn what crappy luck. That card has been running a good 8 months. Now I cannot get in to play SWG or JTLS at all, all I can say is <edit> <edit> <edit>itty <edit> <edit> <edit>. And why the hell did they lock the thread on the in live forum they hardley check this forum at all.

ugghhh Now I'm starting to get frustrated....... I unstalled my firewall, because there was some talk of that creating problems and some people had success with it, so I tried that....NOTHING! Does anyone have any advice? I don't know if the devs are even working on this right now because it might be the end of their workday....but if they are and they're listening....please please please please please get me into swg! This is just frustrating! Guess I can go watch the yankees - sox game, but I really wanted to get into live.
anyone with any advice?

What OS are you running Afai? It's starting to become clearer and clearer that Win 2000 users are the ones taking the brunt of the issues on this new launchpad, and because we're a pretty small minority of users, SOE may not fix this for a day or more.

Yup, they fixed it in the new patch, all Win2k users SHOULD be able to get back on, of course the key word there is should. Glad SOE finally got that cleared up, now I can go back to being a lurker and finally start playing JTL.

what was wrong with the old one?
Now I cannot connect, it just downloads something, then Connecting.............. and in the tab at the bottom it says Scanning for Updates forever?
Useless.

ah doesnt matter.
I used the secret option ctrl alt del and then ended it and restarted it, you should put that in the manual as one of the official sultions for swg problems

JTL and TC clients both hang at scanning for updates on Win98SE.
Cannot login to JTL nor TC as of 7:51pm Central
Still True as of 8:44pm Central.

Hmm, well, at least you got it downloaded. Mine won't so I can't even play the game. Downloads are usually a breeze with the DSL. It begins, then freezes, if it doesn't outright crash. So, lets see, yet another time I can't play the game and won't be offered re-imbursement of any portion of the fee for downtime, if it ever gets to where I can again.
