It would be horrible......how would you like to approach a planet with 50 space stations floating around it? It would end up Cnet in space and totally ruin the expierence. Although it would be cool if we could like rent a spot on a already existing Space Station to place a vendor. It would be like big space malls.

yeah i guess major limitations would have to be put on if they were to be put in place, a desginated area without enemy NPC's would probably work

Im not sure if this is in gonna be in JTL because i don't pay attention to these forums... but i think it would be a great idea if we could have player owned space stations, they would be a great place to store ship parts just incase and aristians could use them for selling their stuff. It would be a perfect place to have ship parts on sale and it would make it much easier to repair your ship instead of having to land and find a shipwright. Then comes the problem if vandalism, or just plain shooting the hell out of someones station because of course an imperial goin past a rebel owned spacestation wouldn't just leave it be. The stations would be fited with shields and you would have to declare your faction to gain access. If the shield was "breached" by an opposite faction member there would be mounted turrets to repel the enemy and the player would get an alert via email that his station was getting attacked, also this email could also be automatically sent to the players friends in the case that said player was offline. If anyone has any comments or ideas about what i have said please leave them here. thanks for reading

Interesting takeon the player owned stations. However, I don't see this happening in the near future. I like the concept though, like having to purchase it with faction points. However, it would leave all of the neutral players in the dark unless they pick a side. This could force that to happen, which in some ways wouldn't be that bad of a thing. Could actually do good for the GCW.

There is no reason that it should be faction driven.. it is a space station.. unless you are rebel and want to keep imps out or vice-verca there should be no issue. Do you think Lando would stop people from comming if they had credits in toe? nope I bet he wouldn't

I dont think this will happen in the near future either but would like it to, as for the second comment the turrets/shields would repel against NPCs in harder areas such as endor (im guessing) but on the easier areas such as naboo (guessing again) they would only really apply to faction driven members. Or maybe they could protect against asteriods? these just ideas im throwing about feel free to leave more comments

it would be kinda cool if space stations were like ground bases.... raids on em and stuff(as in board them and attack not shoot them) it would also be cool if you could board an enemy multipassenger ship once you blow it up(well in multi player ship reasons it would just be too badly damaged to move anymore) and take the fight on in there
, just a little thought

I assume that you are just flying in range of the Space Station. Try getting within 500 meters of the station or closer, target it by typing 'C' and press the backslash (\) key to communicate with it. This should work.
