I just love these threads.
A handful of people make comments about how the old ways were better then the new ways.
A few people defend the new way of doing things.
Someone chimes in that the new way doesn't match the official material.
Another person chimes in that in a fashion the new material definately does.
Someone corrects that official material statement by narrowing the point. (Also known as moving the goal posts.)
Then some snarky bum comes in and makes one of these lists.
What I am saying is that this thread isn't really going to change the way things are done in JTL. As the Devs have said time and time again, JTL is not the old LucasArts Space Sims, period. Things will be different and that's that.
There is some irony in these threads though... The people complaining about how it isn't like the old games are still going to be playing JTL and will actually be enjoying themselves. If they aren't, then why are they still playing and still posting here?

Well, have you seen military ships like TIEs and X-/Y-/B-/A-Wings being modified/customized and/or being built by shipswrights in the movies?

LOL, that's one of the things that make JTL less star-warsy.
Riiiiiight... because NONE of the ships in Star Wars were EVER modified, right? Right?

JTL is the reason I play this game. The ground game sucks and makes no sense to any fan of Star Wars. I cant get around the fact that there forty million Jedi running around....so freakn stupid it makes me sick just talking about it.

I didn't see YOU in the movies, either... so there goes that excuse.

You're wrong man! I already cancelled my account, but it's been paid till Sept, so that's why I can still post.

I saw me in the movies. Third human male on the left, 3 walkways into the distance, 4th scene with a crowd view of Coruscant, Ep. 2.
Therefore, what I say goes!

No, just not stupid enough to insist that the game restrict itself to only what we saw in the movies.
I didn't see any: Image Designers, Medics or Doctors (all droids), Armorsmiths, Weaponsmiths, Architects, Teras Kasi, Bothans... shall I keep going?
