Thanks for clearing that up.I hear so many Imperials say that it's the worst handling ship in JTL. While I, of course, take that with a grain of salt, it's difficult to gauge it when you've never actually flown it.
actually the TIE bomber is the worse handling ship in the game. The PYR is the same as the b-wing and less than an MP ship, but lacks the mass of either to dump in a highlevel engine.
as for the whine part... well, there are hundreds of posts on this forums with privateers whining for a master ship. No wonder it got put in.
Dont underestimate the TIE Bomber, it has awesome mass and firepower and the turn rate is pretty good at 33% throttle, it outperforms the TIE Interceptor easily

personally i think it's horrible. it's a friggin kimogila with a turret slapped on, unless my eyes are deceiving me. since its on test center maybe some changes will be made before it hits live. i dont have my hopes up though.

personal preference i guess. the mass is only awesome because it is the highest mass ship we imps have... and it is still not as much mass as the other heavy bombers in the other profession, not to mention with only 2 gunpoints is only twice the firepower of the interceptor, equal to a y-wing, and less than an x-wing. i guess if you were flying a y-wing and went to a bomber, you might say it handles nice, but bomber to interceptor is like comparing a mack truck to a ferrari. let's put it this way... with an interceptor i can dodge laser blasts from turrets. with a bomber, i take the hit and pretend it never happened.
some people like flying the bomber. and that is fine. some people also like to trick out vans. and that is ok.

Seriously, look at the name of the person who submitted the pictures to Image Dump, then look at my screen name. I almost regret now putting in the time and effort. And here I thought people would be excited we're getting a new ship.
As a Master Pilot, I ask my fellow Privateer brethren whom are complaining to please stop embarrassing us. Don't like the Krayt 'cause it ain't "pretty" enough for you? Don't fly it. Better still, change factions... so the rest of us will no longer have to associate with you.

I once asked for the starviper as well. And who's to say we won't get it eventually, as they also add comparable ships to the other factions.
Right now, however, adding a heavy bomber that is a 2-seater is a perfect solution to the balance of the game.
It should be left just like that.
