As stated in the beta boards this will not happen.
Think of it this way. The patch would have been huge! Non-jtl players would need the following even to ride in any sort of MP Spacecraft.

1) Station Assets (Images and such)
2) SectorAssets
3) ALL Ship Assets
This can't / won't happen.

So how would they NOT be giving away jtl for free if non-JTL people can do almost everything that JTL people can do? Go up in ships, and all that. That's why you BUY they expansion, to do that stuff.

I'll say this reeeeeeeaaaaalll slow since you have a real hard time understanding.
Players who DO NOT OWN JTL will only be able to do the following: sit or walk around in your ship as YOU transport them to another planet. THAT IS ALL!
So you are saying they have to pay $30 bucks to do nothing but sit? That is stupid! I'll pay $30 bucks to buy my own ship and fly it myself but not sit there and watch some dumb *uck like your self flyme around.

Im not even 12. The guy is just plain *ucking rude and he's starting to tick me off. It's like you can't make a suggestion with out some idiot saying you're stupid for even thinking of it. You can't say that the idea of flying anyone around is not cool. I mean having ewoks as pets would be cool too but I don't see anyone yelling at that guy for his idea.

I honestly like the idea of having players without JtL to be able to fly with me on my yacht. This way, I could charge them like 50k a ride.
And thus, "Star Tours: Vacations" is BORN!!!
Anyone else want to join my company? You would have to rename your yacht ship "Star Tours 1", "Star Tours 2", etc.
We could have dancers and healers on board for people while they ride around in space. Then Hyperspace to a planned destination.
