Either way dude, they messed up by not printing it in the manual. I think my idea would serve a great purpose. Why wait 5 mins at a starport, when you can hyper over to a planet now? You could easily do guild missions by transporting some of your guild memebers to a planet instead of waiting for them to come to you. You could even start a transporting business, charging 500 credits for a non stop flight to dantooine from tatooine. I just think the idea would rock!

It would be cool to be able to get ppl without JtL at least on the SoroSub, as it isnt able to fight...
In this way they would see how cool space might be and might get their final push to buy the expansion...
mhh, maybe I should work for some marketing corps..

So if people could get a ride in MP ships, thats bascially degrading the purpose of buying the expansion. The only advantage that JTL people would have is the ability to Pilot a ship...
Not worth it. I paid $30 for the entire space immersion...someone shouldnt be able to mooch a ride of someone just becuse they are too poor and/or lazy to go down to their local Best-Buy.

If I remember correctly, /dock is used to search a ship after you have disabled it.
We used to have the command /board which I was told allowed people on single fighter craft to board an mp ship, but it was taken out because it was too buggy right now.

Hey smart ass.I never said I wanted it to be free. All im frickin asking for is to add passenger capabilites for non-JTL players. But now that you said that they ain't gonna do it, you just jinx'd the whole system. They'll probably make is possible, so I can sit here and laugh at you all day, everyday for the rest of my life. HAHAHAHAHAH @ you lil beeeeeoooootttccchhhh!!!

Well yeah. Whats the point of even downloading the "needed files" of patch 11, if you can't even use them. You should be able to hitch a ride with someone and if you want to own a ship and pilot it yourself in space, then buy the expansion.
Needed files would be The new species so you could see them on ground, the new clothes so you could see them on ground, any new items so you could see them on ground. Did you really believe that you were downloading JTL in patch form?
Just the stuff you need to see stuff that appears on the ground.
Well, actually, I believe you *could* get JTL in patch form, however you won't do that unless you register your JTL key on your account. I actually started to do this (inadvertantly). I registered JTL on my account, then re-started the launch pad without installing from the JTL CD. I started a huge patch that was going to take 30 - 40 minutes over 3Mb DSL. I cancelled out of it, installed JTL from CD, then restarted the launch pad. I patched for maybe 60 seconds and was good to go.
But, yes, you are correct. Those who do not register JTL, only patched in data for changes in the ground game that the will need to see even without JTL.

So how would they NOT be giving away jtl for free if non-JTL people can do almost everything that JTL people can do? Go up in ships, and all that. That's why you BUY they expansion, to do that stuff.
