the black sun helmet looks like a teal RIS helmet with no sunshade type thing and the blacksun logo on the forehead.
I think the players that fly for blacksun get them, and the NSF and Hutts give ya the other helmet.

Yeah, I really want to see the Privateer helmet altered to the correct scales.It reminds me of "It's Pat!" from Saturday NightLive. I'm not holding my breath though.

BillyBobthe50th, all Freelance pilots get the same helmet. The Black sun helmet in the clicky in the original post is the Bounty Hunter armor helmet looted off Black Sun NPCs.

Glzmo, there is no Black Sun reward helmet, all freelance pilots get the same helmet.

The privateer helm almost looks like samus from metoroid.. so since it does to me... im definetly going to get it

That was the first thing I thought of when I saw it, too.
In which quest branch do I get the Black Sun helmet anyway? I won't stop now that I am in Tier IV Smuggler's Alliance branch already, but I would still like to know.

New information...
There will be a Black Sun Pilots helmet added in the next mini-patch 11.3. It will be a rare loot drop and wearable by all space factions and all species except Ithorians and Wookiees.
At least all of us Freelance Aces will nowhave an option to wear a flight helmet that may look half decent, as opposed to the Ace helmet.

According to the EU Documentation, the pilot helmets have a detachable mouth piece, just like RL Pilot helmets. They were the life support system for when ejecting. (Cockpit becomes a pod that just has minimal heat and atmosphere..The helmet suppliments the oxygen for a couple hours at max)
HOWEVER, in the movies...they apparantly didn't think they would come back alive anyway, so they prolly just didn't wear them, because by all respects....Both the Battle of Yavin and the Battle of Endor were suicide missions.

There should be maybe both styles of Rebel helmet available- with mask and without... and without maybe should have transparent visor instead of mirrored one (to be like the movies).
But for that matter, watching RotJ, it seemed as if X & Y-Wing pilots had that style of helmet, A-wing pilots had another, and B-wing pilots a 3rd style. Might we see all those, as well? Please? =)
