It hasn't been directly stated how exactly it will be handled, whether it's a Master or Novice cert or somewhere in the middle. Although early screenies put it at Master, everything is subject to change.

For one, they have to work out who exactly can fly the ship if the owner is up and about. After all, how many times did Leia take the helm of the Falcon? And she doesn't exactly strike me as the Master Pilot sort.

Right, there is a cert for the ship in all three of the pilot trees. Where it is, we don't know yet.

If your asking "if I have the cert, can I let my friend fly the ship even if he doesn't have the cert?" I'm pretty sure the answer was "No" but not because your friend doesn't also have the cert, but because the devs don't want anyone but the ship's true owner to pilot the ship to avoid griefing (though that could still be under discussion too).

All these downloads In the SWG launcher for JTL... Is It the actual game downloading? and all you have to do Is pay to enable It? or Is all the game Info on the JTL discs? With Planetside, It forced you to download Core Combat add on and you just pay, then the add on Is enabled. Could anyone please tell me how this works? Thx.

Its the ground integration patch in the launchpad. Its what lets you see the ithorians, sullustians, etc etc when on the ground regardless of whether you have the expansion or not. The ground patch that pushed to live was around 180mb I think. The actual jtl expansion is closer to 650mb

If youre a rebel on the ground or an imperial on the ground you can be a privateer as a space profession. You can not be a rebel pilot and a privateer pilot.

Also, if youre a provateer you can still declare your faction.

Well, you can be rebel on the ground and a freelance pilot in space then declare as your side in space. The only exception to this rule is in Kessel where freelance pilots have their own seperate PvP factions.

Now, if you mean be both a Rebel and Privateer pilot at the same time, no you can't. However, the good news is the game is designed so that each time you master a pilot profession, should you descide to change, you level twice as fast. So, if you mastered privateer, then later decided you wanted to switch and master rebel pilot, you'd drop all your privateer skills then start working on rebel pilot. But...you'd have half the xp requirements you had for privateer.

It lets you swap faster and is a nice system.

Plus, since you can re-deed your ships and pull out components. you could pull out all the stuff from your privateer ships, use it for rebel ships(once you had the appropriate component certs) and just store your privateer deeds for future use in case you decided to switch back.
