Thread: I'm confused...
I agree with you about your views of what a Bounty Hunter should be Meyree.
If you think about about a characters skill points as their potential for growth, which they are, then it should be obvious that rewards are in order for those professions which are the most difficult to achieve. People what an Elite combat class to be competitive with a BH, and it just shouldnt be so. One third of their character's "potential" is used up, while 86% of our possible development went into becoming a human hunter. We should be badasses, and I think we are, but some fixes are in order.
i get 800xp for a baby graul mauler cl 12 and i get 1200 xp for a full grown graul cl30. i thought xp was based on the creatures current level not its adult level. can anyone explaine this?
It is based on the baby CL. It was changed a while back, but it was reverted back to XP based on baby CL.
Though I am not sure it has been proven, my theory is there is an CH XP cap placed on a pet's current CL. The higher the CL, the higher the cap is. That is a control to prevent a CH from joining a large group hunting Krayts, throwing a 1CL baby into the fight and getting 10,000 CH XP.
What you are most likely finding is by targeting stuff that has a way higher CL then your pets, that you are constantly hitting that cap. WIthout the cap, your 12CL Graul baby would technically be getting you more XP, but the cap is capping that pet at 800.

As far as me, I like both pvp and pve. Oh and this is with MBH, which i hope to attain soon.
1. Rebels can be Rebel/Neutral. Imperials can be Neutral/Imperial. Neutrals can be Rebel/Neutral/Imperial.
2. The "certifications" for flying a ship will be in the relevant pilot profession.
3. Anyone can fly a YT-1300.
BUT, when they say "anyone", that could mean either:
A. Everyone (Imp, Privateer and Rebel) gets the YT-1300 certification as part of the prof.
B. No one gets the YT-1300 certification, as there is no YT-1300 certification. Anyone can fly the YT.
C. The YT-1300 is part of the Privateer, which anyone (if they choose) can access.
Now, logic would suggest that B is probably the correct answer. Why? Well, if we look at the other multi-person ship, the Vet Yacht, it would be totally stupid to say that you needed a certification (which you had to work towards) in order to fly it. I would assume that there will be either a "PLY 3000" and a "YT-1300" certification, or just a general "Multi-passenger" certification, which would let you fly all of the MP ships. HOWEVER, this is SOE, and it seems logic isn't their strong point. I can cite several examples where option C is disproved (ok, by EU, but still)...but then again, the movies themselves actually contradict the existance of the three pilot professions, so who knows.
Basically, can the same character fly both a YT-1300 AND an A-Wing, without changing pilot professions in between? I can't find a definate answer anywhere.
