My views of the X Wing are mostly from behind as I shoot them down in my TIE/In. All the ships look fantastic, all sorts of mission to be played.

TIE fighters sound like they should, if you fly past one you hear the classic roar of the TIE just as you do in the films. The Star Destroyer is a sight to behold, it is HUUUUGE.

The detail and stories included in the missions are fantastic, better than any ground based missions I have seen, so much work has gone into the dialog between you and your trainers and mission givers. So far I have worked for the Imperial Inquisition, nobody expects the Inquisition! Also Black Epsilon and the Storm Squadron. Trust me fellow Imperials we have a lot of work to do to keep the rebels in their place over the planets of Tatooine, Corellia, Lok, Dantooine, Dathomir, Talus, Naboo and Endor. Also we must crush them in Deep Space and Kessel, our time is soon to come.

I've seen some prototype B Wings over Talus, we must make sure these impressive ships do not give them the upper hand. Of course, there are the usual attacks from the various pirate factions, annoying to say the least but, I have seen some very impressive flying by some of them, some must be treated with respect.

Impressive, most impressive.

Yeah there was a lot of lagginess on the ground, mostly due to a TON OF TESTERS gathered in the three cities where the pilot trainers were (Mos Eisley, Tyrena, and one for the Imps that I forget).

I think people in beta who were comlaining about lag on the ground are forgetting that there was probably 5 times the amount of people playing on just one ground environment. In Live, we'll all be spread out between our primary servers.

The starports will be laggy of course as everyone comes into JTL at the same time, but I don't expect to see ground lagginess elsewhere. In fact, one of the loading screens I saw last night was a letter from an Imperial Admiral, recruiting pilots, and he had imp pilot trainers at three different cities. I think in Live they'll be spreading it out a bit to cut down on the concentration of players in one area.

I just want to say I didnt experience much lag at all during beta, It is fun to play and the Devs did an amazing job of tackling the bugs and listening to th beta testers.

I was flying my Z95 Headhunter with a nice Ion Cannon and some good armor/shields. I looted a great engine the last time in space, so I was itching to try it out. And then, some TIE fighters decided to start some trouble. I clenched the joystick and engaged.

I did a quick 180 and met one head on, and tookone out while it's3 friends split off from the group in different directions, and went screaming by me with the sound TIE fighters make in the movies. I looped around all over the place, hunting each down and dodging the other ones. There was laser fire everywhere. The new engine was great, and I was spinning all over with incredible handling.

It was a small thing, and a short moment, but when the TIE fighters came right at me and then split off and started spinning and circling, it really felt like Star Wars to me.

Then, I crashed to desktop and my launchpad kept freezing when I was trying to login again.

Ah, the memories...

Agreed, I didn't experience one instance EVER of being lagged in space...pretty amazing actually now that I think about it!

Well, ok there was that ONE time...but the server was coming down, so that doesn't count

It's awesome..sure there are still bugs but the enjoyment of what is working far exceeds the hassles of what is buggy....

I've only seen one YT-1300 so far and it was a NPC smuggler and got to destroy it hehe....all I can say is I have gotten little sleep since joining BETA lol : )

Does anyone know what the final requirment for Novice Shipwright XP will be....in BETA it was 70k General Crafting XP from what I remember...is this staying the same in live?

Also, I love making ships and thier components...I'm a MDE but I think I'm going to like Shipwright even better...fun fun!!!

Ah... fond beta memories.

My absolut best experience in this game yet (been playing for over a year now) is flying and fighting in a mulitplayer ship. It's really not the most efficient way to do combat in space but it's definetly the most fun... and most star warsy.

The first time I went up it was in a rebel Nova Courier. It was five of us in total, one pilot, a copilot, two gunners and one man on damage control. At first we cruised around for a while just checking out the handling of the ship and the neat interiors (imho the Nova has the best interior of all the master level POB ships. Easily the most captial ship like with several rooms and corridors). Then we headed to Dathomir space for some action. It took a while for the gunners to get the hang of it but after a while we were doing ok. Until we got swarmed by lots of droidfighters.

At that moment I was assigned damage control and I hada few different repair kits in my inventory and the captain called out which system was being damaged (there are several different panels for different components of the ship as well as plasma conduits that can repair during flight). We weren't really in any big problems at first. I fixed the reactor and the weapons capacitor. But as I was running to the front room to get some other repair kits from a toolbox there we got hit pretty badly and I noticed sparks flying from a nearby counduit.Iheard thecaptainbark out "Secure that plasma leak! Yarr!" (well ok, he didn't say yarr) so I grabbed a repair kit, but before I could do anything the conduit burst and started spewingblue fire. I got ignited and unbuffed as I was I soon succumbed to the flames. Hehe. The copilot also made the mistake of getting burned to a crisp as he tried to patch up the plasma leak, so in the end one of the gunners had to get out to try and fix it. He failed to and then the ship exploded. Later we realised that repairing plasma conduits are bugged.

All in all, great fun! Highly recommended.

Here's something I found to be very cool about JTL:

Droids and Flight Computers

Depending on the type of ship you fly, you can have either a droid or flight computer loaded in to your ship. As you gain skill as a pilot, you learn new "commands" that you can then load in to your droid (or computer). These commands become specials you use while in space (you can even put them on the toolbar like any other special). The commands you learn depend on your profession but they let you do things like power distribution to shields or weapons. It's very very slick and really well done. You even get audio and visual feedback when you issue a command.

I hope you DEs are ready because you just got a nice addition to your arsenal of products to sell.
