Ok I barely got any lag at all in Beta (my comp is P4 2.0 ghz, 40 Gig, 1024 RAM, GeForce FX 5900 128 MB), and how could you say the game does not look great? The graphics are superb. And the gameplay is not slow anymore.

ok stories...

First I will start with my all time favorite bug, that did cause a lot of lag (but has since been fixed). The Devs gave us a PvP weekend, and put master pilot professions and ships on the Frog terminals. I got in my Xwing and went into Deep Space to go find the Star Destroyer. I hyperspace in from Dantooine, and there are probably around 400 Rebel transports causing extreme lag. No one could move or do anything, but we eventually made it away from the space station and the bugged fleet, and began PvPing (which is a blast). The next day it was fixed, and I went to the Star Destroyer. There were TONS of players and NPCs around the massive star destroyer fighting. It was a very fun battle, until I was blown out of the sky by a few missles.

Multi player ships are extremely fun. As the ship gets damaged there will be plasma leaks, and your crew will need to run around the ship and repair the leaks.

The Quests are extremely immersive.

The Devs were/are extremely helpful in beta and on the beta forums.

The Kill a Dev event was awesome! (The Devs flew around as Imps, and you were able to kill them)

Well from a rebel pilot standpoint it's an awesome addition to SWG and well worth it to climb intoan x-wing and take on a whole squadron of tie fighters and come out on top. Salute Devs!

Well, just to have a positive voice in here let me tell you my take on JTL. I've really enjoyed testing for the last 5 weeks. I have had almost zero lag problems, even in massive multiplayer battles. I think many of people's "lag" troubles are hardware related. I don't have a super high end machine or internet connection, but it runs great. The space graphics are great, and the missions have been worked through real well. I really enjoy the missions, though I know many people are going to be confused at first and try to find other players to teach them there skills. Remember your trainer is the only way to get new skills.

I love multiplayer ships nothing like being able to walk around and look out a window and watch ships and stars flying by while somebody else is flys. Its great. Anyway suppers ready. Its going to be fun, see you up there.

P.S. Favorite Bug - the day all space textures reverted to the default trees, swamp, rain textures. All ships looked like flyingcubes with "?" marks on all sides. It was like a house of mirrors meets Alice in Wonderland.

Firstly, JTL is NOT laggy, the previous posters who say that it is probably just have crappy PC's.

If anything JTL is smoother than the ground game. I constantly get 30FPS.

I have a mediocre PC 512 ram with a crap video card. I had no problems with lag, nothing out of the ordinary, NO lag in space at all. This expansion my not be where everyone expectations are, but it has LOTS of potential.

My favorite part so far has been seeing all the action in the Mos Eisley cantina, then walking into the back room and seeing Talon Karrde there

Well.... in SPACE it is not laggy... but JTL COMPLETELY LAGS out the ground game at any starport and the servers in general... and lets not forget all the problems they had with LOSING player houses/items on the ground.,...

this game needs another month to 2 months in beta

Now THATS COOOL. makes me think of those submarine movies and how the crew is always trying to stop leaks, So what happens if you or your crew doesnt repair the leaks? and do you have to have any skills to repair the leaks or do you just click on them?

My cool story happened just last night ... newly added to beta, I was aboard my friend's luxury yacht, enjoying the view and crafting up some decorations for him, when all of the sudden my view switched to the cockpit, as we went into hyperspace! The 1st time doing it was very exhilirating, as I didn't even know it was about to happen

and a fun piece of advice, dont delete your newbie ship until you have a replacement. with a reactor in it. so it flies. and some guns maybe too.... so you can shoot stuff

It's not the East or the West side (No it's not) It's not the North or the South side (No it's not) It's the Dark Side! (You are correct) You can't front on the Empire! To all you Vader-haters out there... We'll blow your planet up!
