Yeah, but they did confirm that those using US SWG and adding Euro JTL to it will work, and it was just play.com screwing up on that comment about there being a compatibility issue.
As for why a pre-order off 2 US companies is placed above those from anywhere else, partically when some of us had placed an order long before they even mentioned the bloody stupid speeder way back in August, and now looks likely to be shot in the foot thanks to ordering early is getting more and moreannoyed with the total lack of organisation, and lack of planning from SOE on this.
Firstly there should have been a download option. I asked about this and a CSR said they couldnt as it wasnt fair to modem users, or something SOE could support. What a big pile of gnort droppings that is, since other games manage it, and they're claiming SOE can't? come off its guys, it woulda been cash right too you, no cuts going to middle men or anything. Ohh it'lltoo difficult on bandwidth...roflmao...thats a lame excuse also for the simple factother companies manage, heck look at Steam doing a DL over 5GB ofHalfLife 2....or the lame excuse of what about people playing itearly? well simple, you encrypt it and dont allow it to unencrypt to the codes sent out on the 27th.
But anyhow, thats another point. Anyone who gets JTL in the first 3 days is pretty much obviously going to be a pre-order....why? as they have the blinkin thing. No playing around, they have it, thereby they pre-ordered (or got very lucky and found it in a shop, which is doubtful). Is it really that hard for them to see who activates the game in the first few days and then to flag the accounts in the database too allow them the speeders? no course its not. And its fair to anyone in any country, who's pre-ordered it before they came up with this stupid speeder joke.
The distrubution, and overall back stabbing of customers in this whole process is becoming laughable, and something which really is showing up SOEs complete, and utter lack of manageral foresight and planning.

Totally agree with your last words on the matter, her I am but a week from it being launched and have no idea what I should do, what do you suggest? I've got a pre order from gamestop to be shipped to the UK. I don't even care about this speeder anymore. Should i just canx the order and order it on Amazon or this play.co.uk I see mentioned?

Endy, well one good thing about buying it off Play.com was its £17.99 delivered...gotta love the fact they are in Jersay so we don't have to pay any tax at all on it
Amazon is ok, but they are like £7 more expensive. I totally agree about the speeder, its not worth bothering with, but its the entire principle of the thing which has me annoyed. They did the beta via download (I know I had to DL the thing start of Sept), and it was only the later ones who got it on CD later on. They can do it, they've shown they can. Its just some wierd management decision at work which is causing the probs for the Brits and the Euro's, and no doubt the rest of the world also.

*Whew* Thank God I shipped my JTL pre-order to my American post office box as opposed to my home in Ontario.
Heh. Suckers.
