There are usually MagSeal containers in all of the static dungeons on every planet. As far as i know these cannot be opened in any way (not even sliced, though tey will apparently open with a key)

I have seen them in the static dungeon on Tatooine (near 0,0 on the map. you can see it as a white spot on the planetary map) and on Naboo's static dungeon.I did not see them in the caves behind the Jedi templeon Dantooine (which is an exact copy of the layout of the Naboo dungeon).

Hope this is somewhat helpful.

just to be 100% clear, the container's themselves are called loose debris. I seem to find these less then mag-seal containers. and I need to confirm the one near 0,0 on tatooine. thanks for the post

You are correct. Crucial data is stored server side, not client side, because developers of online games note that people will always hack their clients if they can.The first game I played online wasDiablo.

Godly Plate of the Whale, anyone?

The developers of online games make it a point to never trust the client with important stuff. If you don't want people editing their client files to give themselves stuff/abilities/whatever, thenthere's not much reason tobother putting that information in the client in the first place. The only things that need to be on the client are a graphical interface, and a system to communicate with the server.

The only thing that is unfair about them is that Rebels don't have an equal option for one. As long as both sides have access to something that uber, it is fair.

As it is, the uniqueness of the CH is compromised, because any imp that is so enclined to earn and get one of these things, is instantly as uber as a CH with 3 rancors.

It is completey silly. They nerf CH due to crys on the boards, and at the same time make these rediculously powerful pets available to imps only. What the hell is SOE thinking?

Prior to the patch NO ONE used Faction Pets. I saw maybe 2 or 3 in the whole time since launch. Now people have faction pets they can use in PvP if so inclined or to compensate for the over nerfing of the solo ability of a lot of classes, they are cheap, expendable and fun. All they need to do is add a counter to AT STs, heavy weapons specialists with rocket launchers or other such "rebel" style pet that can take on an AT-ST. Rebels had access to ground vehicles. They could easily have purchased old Trade Federation surplus or had access to other options.

But stop calling for the nerf of pets. They nerf these and no one will use them again, and then whats the point of even having them in the game. Most "trooper" level mobs last about 10 seconds in PvP I lost 3 in anchorhead the other day in one raid. The heavy weapons guys are better but I am not going to risk them unless its a sure win. I

You all realize that before the patch Stormtrooper were 2100 FP, and AT-ST were 40000 FP.... these low faction costs have only been instituted with the big patch early last week. I think the problems would be solved if the faction point costs were simply returned to their previous levels.

Quick idea here... with all the Imperials running around with AT-ST's why not give a boon to the Rebel side. Allow Master CH's that are Rebel to buy faction pets of the same calibre. I know a Kimo is only 70 compared to the 125 cl of an AT, but what is the cl of say, a Krayt? I believe they are a bit higher than the AT-ST but... ONLY a Master CH that has declared Rebel can use them and they perma-die. Limit them to one as opposed to the Imperials 3 but at least it would be something and give Masters of our profession something to look forward to. I know the Imperial MCH's will be pissed by this idea but hey, they're Imperial scum =P j/k Just an idea tossed out, flame away, but before you get too carried away remember, I'm not sure the cl on a Krayt and am just looking for feedback on maybe giving the rebs a lil something, if not something everyone can use, to keep it rare and somewhat toned down.

Cheers

If you got hit with electricity, wouldn't you be knocked backwards?

I think it would be a decent change to llc's if that effect was added. Another thought, if you're target isn't wearing armor, wouldn't his/her/it's skin smolder ie suffer burn damage.
