new planets.....
Coruscant
Kashyyk
Ren Var
Bespin
Ok i only have a mayor problem with 2 of those, and thats the bold ones; Coruscant and Bespin.
Firstly, Bespin...well have you ever tried to walk around on a huge Gas planet? Didn't think so lol. Maybe if it was just Cloud City and other cities in the sky that may work, but think of the lag...
And Coruscant...its been said time and time again, Coruscant would not be possible with this engine. A huge city like that would just blow up your computer, the server and maybe even the world! /sarcasm off. Seriously though, think how bad Coronet is and multiply that by 20 million. Expect a frame rate of...oooooh lets say 0.001 FPS. Not a good idea.
kessel (smuggler revamp, counts as a advnced planet like dathomir, dantooine, endor)
korriban (available to the sith only) smaller than average planets
dagobah (available to the jedi only) smaller than average planets
hoth (Pvp planet) rebel advantage
Ithor green, forrests, cloud cities
sullust (volcanic, underground cities)
Raxus Prime ( rich minerals, needed to suite a modern republic)
myrkr (significant to the jedi, yselemari)
kuat (makers of starships)

Oh no! We can't have that, it would only promote griefing.
Well, unless done in a controlled environment, of course - which is why I propose that each player gets a Stormtrooper or Rebel Commando NPC 'pet' he can kill in the privacy of their own home over and over again without any need for player interaction or exposing our characters to harmful Tatooine sunlight.
kessel (smuggler revamp, counts as a advnced planet like dathomir, dantooine, endor)
It has no atmosphere though, so how can you expect anyone to survive there without breathing apparatus?
dagobah (available to the jedi only) smaller than average planets
Yoda has (and will) only trained Luke Skywalker on Dagobah. You can't just make it so all Jedi go there. It'd take away from the special-ness of Dagobah.
hoth (Pvp planet) rebel advantage
Err... rebel advantage? Explain, plz.
Ithor green, forrests, cloud cities
Nobody is allowed to set foot in the Mother Forest or anywhere else on Ithor, as it is sacred to the Ithorian culture.
sullust (volcanic, underground cities)
Yes. Let's have Sullust, plz.
myrkr (significant to the jedi, ysalamiri)
This, too.
kuat (makers of starships)
I'd rather have Kuat as a space sector, so we can fly amongst the shipyards, and see starships of all varieties being built.
You can see my world choices on Page 1 of this thread. Feel free to comment on them.

I dont understand this, ive been reading a few other short posts on other threads and people are saying the same thing...
The podracing may have been banned by the empire, but surely they cud think of away around that for now, the podracing is an extremely appealing part of Starwars, its a whole racing typeof its own, im sure many would agree... I think itsa shame to just cut this off becuase of the Empire...

Im trying very hard to think of other expansions, but if anything like JTL comes out in the not so distant future then i will be well impressed

There needs to be more bases that are not destroyed but overtaken. And there needs to be some incentive to keep them. If SOE could do that they would add a new dimension to the game. Instaspawn screwed up WWII Online, and since SOE doesn't have that they won't suffer that pitfall.
along those lines i would like to see something similar to what they did in DAoC with the relic keeps. in Dark Age if your realms pvp'erscaptured & held one ofthree relic keeps, all players inyour realm would recive certain benefts tied to that relic. i think that there should be areas (stations or zones)associated with each planet that the factions could fight over & that give specific benefits to like factions on the ground of that planet.
for example: if the rebels manage to take control of the naboo faction space station then all rebels, when fightingon naboo, would gain some benefit (cheaper faction perks, clonning, a percentage faction point bonus, etc). for as long as the rebels control that station. once the imperials or freelancers takecontrol of the stationthe bonus switches to their players on the ground.
the only issue i see is that DAoC had "buffer zones" that realms could take to provide a line of defence for the relic keeps that would be difficult to implement in space... but this sort of interaction between space & ground would add much to the game.
So do Jedi. They still run amok though.
