Use of seismic missles to collect large amounts of small asteroid chunks with in a blast radius for the Y-8 would make it a wee bit more enticing.
There is an ordinance slot in the y-8 aka "WAIT" lets make some use of it.

I want to now how does one get one of these vessals. are they apart of the ROTW expansion or can you buy then from a SW ?

You have to have RotW to get the Y-8 since its a quest reward that starts on Kashyyyk. Also, you cannot asteroid mine without the expansion either.
You need to speak to Flash in the tree.
The quest is currently bugged in the middle of it so you can't complete it at this time.

I have heard this ship is broken, I just want to do the quest and get it anyway if that's true.

Talk to Flash Harrison in the Kashyyk cantina and he will tell you to go see someone in a cantina on talus i think

well at work right now...can't remember which but you need master pilot or 4000 pilot...one of them is for the Y8...and im' not sure if you need to do the mining quest on kash or not for the "you are not able to pilot" issues things have

The Y8 quest involves talking to Flash at the great tree so you'll need ROTW to do it...you'll need Master Pilot to be able to fly it also and i belive you cant fly it until you've done the quest...and the quest is currently bugged so you can't finish the quest to get the deed for the Y8

I havent completed the quest yet because it has been bugged. Yesterday though I was fianlly able to get one of these for 6mil. Thought the price wasnt that bad for it since a lot of people say its one of the coolest ships and once I got up in it by far it is one of the best ships in the game. It sucks that devs havnt made fixing the quest a top priority. Anywho the only thing thats wrong with the ship is youcant move any furniture in it that you set down.
