I've noticed this happens to me when I have no wait for a shuttle after the probe droid reports the location. Anyone else see the same?

Hey there fellow Rangers


I have been lurking around the squill caves building up scout xps. I was invited to group with some guys so i said sure can harvest squill and trap to build xp faster. problem #1 i cant throw traps in the cave. Problem #2 no matter what resource I harvest i only get one unit. Now i get full xps for the harvest but if I lure the squill out of the cave I can trap and I get lots of resourse when I harvest. Any Ideas??

It's not a bug - the XP has always been the same for harvesting every time I have visited the cave.


As for traps - it's well known that you cannot throw the traps inside the cave, just outside; and if they do work, then great XP ! It would be cool it the traps did work inside the cave as the respawn of Squillscan happen quite quickly and further you up that Trap Master ladder if you're in a group - killing mass !

ok thanks for the info - wasnt aware that traps didnt work in caves. Learned something new.

It's not a bug for those squills in the cave to only yield one item when you harvest. It was designed that way so you can't camp the cave for resources. I mean, come on, it's already a scouting XP haven. LOL

Exactly as they said. You can't throw traps inside, and you can't harvest inside. The reason for this is because cave creatures respawn, and it would be to easy to exploit that. Just sit there in the caves, and constantly throw traps and harvest, each time it respawns, gaining all the scout and trap xp you could want.

I have found that traps do not work indoors and anytime you harvest indoors you get 1 unit of resource. Same in the Warren.

Trapping indoors doesn't work unfortuantely. Not sure about the Harvesting though as it has been quite a while since I went to the Squill Cave. What I did to make a bunch of Scouting XP was this:


1. Use a Camo Kit


2. Walk (don't run) until it breaks


3. When it did break or expire - high tail it outta there with /burstrun (or fight if I had to)


Like I said that was early on in my Ranger Career. I tried it in Fort Tusken too, but that experiment met with....failure on biblical proportions.

You can still get tons of scouting XP there using mask scent.. and if you have camo, and camo your party of 4 or 5, you will get scouting XP so fast you won't believe it.

But the harvest thing is like that for the reasons they mentioned. The Beetle Cave over on the eastern side is the same way.

You want trapping xp!


Go to dath or dant, group up let em now you gonna spam traps though, most wont care!


Take a crap load of traps (Madchen Raa in Antares (intrepid) selling traps by thr crate!)


Let the groupattack and then youspam traps, use each one in your arsonel and repeat!


Found a group hunting Rancors, got 1500 trap xp per trap thrown!


When there dead, you can harvest/loot also! a couple hundred hide a kill!


But remeber if the group gets in a bind, pull out you pistol and blast away!

Greetings,

Interestingly enough, if you pull the squills out of the cave and then kill them, you get the full harvest value. This works with any indoor area - a guildmate of mine pulled over 24k of hides out of the Woolmander place, just hunting outside the doors.

You can’t lob grenades indoors either. I like to think of it as, “The stop throwing things around the house before you break a window” coding. Has anyone tried tossing a trap inside a player house/building?

Hi, i'm a 0011 doctor, when i craft an enhance action medpack A, it has a medicine use of 57, and i have med use stat of +60, so i should be able to use it right? But whenever I click on it and press use on self or use on target nothing happens, no message, the uses remaining doesnt go down either. A master doc said I have to be a master doc myself to be able to use an enhance pack, but that doesn't make sense, why would i be able to craft something at 0011 that i can't use till master?
