There is no way you're going to be able to "dabble" and make a weapon that compares to what a real master weaponsmith can make. You can have perfect materials, but without those 10 experimentation points, you're not going to be able to match their quality.

ok, lets go down the list here, time is not an issue, skill points are not an issue, and the grafting grind is not an issue. I just need to know if i have to be a master to make good weapons or is it all about experimenting and the quality of the components. Why is it that no one understands me? Thats all i want to know. Please

I believe I already answered your question, however apparently it wasn't clearly worded enough for your tastes, so I'll try again.

Master weaponsmiths get 10 experimentation points. When used properly, these points directly translate into increased damage, faster speed, better wound chance and (in some cases) lower HAM costs or improved ideal range modifiers.

If you are not a master weaponsmith, you do not have 10 experimentation points. You have less.

Therefore, you have fewer points to invest in these things, and therefore your weapons will do less damage, be slower, and less efficient than one a master weaponsmith would make.

Even with perfect materials, your weapons simply aren't going to be as good because you won't have 10 experimentation points.

Grinding all the way to master weaponsmith for the sole purpose of making a small handful of weapons for yourself, then surrendering the skills seems to me an absolutely colossal waste of time.

I'm thinking about becoming a carbineer, and I just have a few questions. Which would you guys rather be? Carbineer or pistoleer? I am trying to decide between the two... I've gotten whooped by plenty of Pistoleers, but I've also been owned by Fire knockdown. Are there any carbine skills besides fire knockdown (i know its in the BH skills) that are worth getting? Comments and Opinions please!

yeah... head to the stockroom tab of your vendor. It should be there.

on a side note: always empty your stock room BEFORE you move your vendor. that one cost me quite a pretty penny the first time.

Happy crafting

What do you all think should I charge for a Rancor, not a good one, just one made out of newbie creautres DNA?

They are supposed to be house decorations.

Thats a personal choice....

You are a Master Bio-Engineer...so its purly up to you.

I charge people based on the what I call the Trouble/Time scale.

If I went to alot of trouble to make the creature, and spent resources in large amounts that I dont have alot of or I dont have any money or if I just feel like it...I will charge people for my services.

I may not charge for single things...but things like 10 pet vitality paks...yeah i will charge for the quantity....

Its more or less i charge for people wasting my time.

well, keep in mind that although you made it cheap, to be furniture, your customer could turn and sell it to a CH for a huge profit.... just food for thought.

Yes, even a garden trash rancor is still a tameable rancor. I charge full price for "furniture".

I started to think after the first excitement/panic, when someone orderd 20 Rancors.

Rather than getting some quick money, I decided to collect quality organics and quality meats, before I even think of selling any more of the master pets.

Thank you to all who cared to reply to my post.
