sounds like a pilot issue, not a SW issue since we don't affect how the turrent works.
post on the pilot forum and you might get a lot more responces to your question.

I have an ARC170 and i took my friends in a ride in it. As many of you know it can hold a pilot and two gunners. My complaint is that how the turrets have to move with the ship. For example if a gunner has a certain thing targeted and the pilot moves the shipto the side or something then the tuuret would move but still have the same thing targeted. This is kinda hard to get in your head but if any one here has played battlefront 2 then they know what i mean.

Actually, it isn't autotargeting. It's Gyrostabilization and built into every modern tank driving on the earth today. If tankbody moves 30 degrees to the left, automatically move turret 30 degrees to the right at the same speed, effectively keeping it steady.
Should be implemented in JTL, gunner will still need to lead his target and deal with its jinking so it's definately not an autotarget.
Reasons to implement: The pilot can have more fun flying, the turrets can actually hit something while the pilot is on evasive.
Yes, with a good experienced crew you can do the same, but JTL is suppose to be arcade, not a sim.

How they look i believe. I don't own a turret or base yet so i'm not sure if that's all.

I would think this post would be more likely to be answered in the Galactic Civil War forum.
