Well, first check that you have a weapons capacitor loaded in, that delivers the energy the weapons use. After that, press G in space and look at the grouping of your weapons, put all the lasers in the first group.

Erk, tone down the font pilot ![]()
You're getting hung up on the graphics. If one bolt hits, it does full damage. The damage is not divided amongst the number of bolts/balls.

I have a y-wing and just got new loot weapon, does 800-1200 damage, but only emits a single blast(ball of lighting.. i guess) My question would be did the weapon I had loaded previously that did 700-1000 damage, but graphicly had 2 laser shots per fire. Is damage reported on whole for each fire or for each shot seen.
to sum it up less confusingly
Does the more damage 1 shot per fire weapon do effecivly 1/2 damage or am i just hung up on the graphics looking different?

Finally made Master Carbineer last night. My template is mbh/master carb/4000 cm. My proton carbine with a 12% speed slice gives me a 603 moded dps. Are there any carbines that would allow me to do better than that.

Probably, but DPS is not an accurate indicator of how much damage you do, in fact it's outright utter crap. What are the stats on your carbine (forget about DPS, real or modified, it's meaningless).

Hmm, first of all, the only stat which you cold give which is more worthless that modded DPS is wound-chance in my eyes, even the durability of a weapon is more important for me than modded DPS. There's just too many variables in there to say anything about the weapon.
Though, this matters little in the present case as you said that the weapon is a proton carbine and thisgun always is the very same, as long as you don't slice it or put powerups on them. With being MCarb and MBH, the speedlice is some waste of potential of the gun, your modified speed on the weapon (for comparing wepons, use the unmodified speed, for determining your efficiency, use the modified one) should be pretty low anyways, a speed-slice doesn't give a massive improvement any more.
I am aware that a speed-slice leads to the DPS skyrocketing, this is due to the linear nature of the calculation for DPS, but due to the diminuishing returns in actual game mechanics, a high DPS due to faster speed doesn't mean anything from a certain point, and i dare to say that you are at least very close to this point and probably have passed it by far already with this weapon.
Thus a damage-sliced proton carbine would normally be enough to (while displaying lower DPS) significally improve your combat efficiency. The Proton is quite good carbine and can easily surpass any non-loot-enhanced carbine. Still, a loot-enhanced E11 Mk. II or Elite Carbine can easily beat the Proton carbine. Try to acquire some above-average krayt tissues (or the new loot components from BH elite marks) and bring them to your weaponsmith of choice, he'll be able to createa wonderful gun out of those materials for you.
