I think that the Arc-170 should be for privateers and rebs, it fits in with the look of those factions but it doesnt really look new imperial, any imperial should admit that. But then it wouldnt be fair so there should be a nice 3 seater going to the imperials which looks like it would fit in. Then everyones happy (well most are, theres still those people who complain about everything
)

The Republic Gunship (The LAAT/i) is an atmoshperic craft. Its like a Helicopter...not designed for long distances. It deploys troops from the "carrier" (Acclimator) to the battlefield. Thats all.
If they ever bring in Airships, the LAAT/i would make a great ground alternative to the ARC...and it has exactly the same crewing - pilot and two gunners. (Or are there two pilots? I never got any of the toys, so I don't know)

Apparently the Jedi Starfighter, ARC-170 and Greivous' Starfighter are non-faction specific, availible at Tier 4.

lets just hope they are not like the firespray. To me the firesrapy is sweet but major pain to get and expensive. i hope they are not like that.

Two pilots, three gunners (two for the wings, one for the back turret).
