I remember that game. I used to play loads of X-Wing when it was only on 3&1/2" floppy disks. I later got TIE Fighter on CD and was blown away by how cool it was. Later on I found a X-Wing Collector series for sale that was both X-Wing and TIE-Fighter on CD, but with X-Wing v. TIE Fighter graphics. It was awesome. I went though all the tours, getting as many of the secondary and bonus objectives done as I could to get a high rank in the Secret Order of the Emperor. Thats what JTL needs: Secret Order Tats!

X-Wing on floppy disks was the first computer game I ever owned and played. I pre-ordered Tie Fighter on floppy's when that came out. The best SW game ever. I remember the Secret Order. I remember re-playing successful missions just to get the Secret Order objectives completed. I would pay any amount for an updated version of Tie Fighter.

Loved Tie Fighter, and its expansion Defender of the Empire.

That game for me, forever left its mark. Xwing Vs Tie fighter did some damage too

I would soooo love a modernized version of Tie Fighter.. really.. really would.

He's still early on the conversion, but it may be of some interest to you.
