Thread: Star Wars Galaxy NEW UPDATE!!!!
Well, I got through it...definatly try paragraphs next time ![]()
As for your ideas...I completely agree.
Will it happen? Nope.
Would SOE have more customers if it was implemented? Definitely.
Not a bad post Orgotholik, I disagre with you but was constructive critism.
I'd go with the free plap server for you and others that want that type of PvP as well.

I'm not convinced they would. The ratio of PvP server to non PvP servers in EQ(just using this as an example becauses it the other MMORPG I've played) was hugely in favor of non PvP, if the majority of players had wanted PvP I'd have expectected it the other way around. I know there were other MMORPGs that have gone for more PvP then SWG or EQ but I have no idea how well they did comparatively and if it was just the PvP or overall game quality that might have lead them to not do as well.

Opps typo, meant 'free PvP server' not 'free plap server'. No idea how I ended up typing plap instead lol.
Personally, I don't agree here. At least not totally. Isn't this what the Overt/Covert thing is about? If people want danger, they'll go overt. I much prefer this method of actually giving people the choice, rather than forcing anyone to do anything.
That's not to say I'd turn my nose up a perma PvP lawless planet or two. Even though I see where you're coming from, if the whole game was as you say you'd like it to be, that would likely be too hardcore for me also.
I think that is a retarded idea. Here's why:
You ever notice how most people act completely different in chat rooms and some online games? Why do they do that? Because they are annonymous and can do or say whatever they want without consequences. Ok so you want freedom to play the game you want to play? Well what about every other player who want to play the game a different way? By being a **edit** and stealing people's bikes and killing their pets you would be infringing on their rights to play the game how they want to play. That is why there are laws in real life.
What you need is a good one player game like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. And if a one player game isn't good enough, and you need to act out your bizarre fantasies ina way that causes emotional distress or pain in other real life people, then you have a problem.

lol good work Mackle
Yes, very good work.
By scanning the paragraphs I was able to gleam a bit of insight; enough to know I didn't care. ![]()
Thanks for saving me the time,

Man, someone actually has some real insight into what is wrong with this game and all you bunch of tards can do is bash him for writing too much.
This is a great post and the devs should read it and do what it says.
umm no breaking up the main points into paragraphs is a valid request. the way its written it is VERY difficult to maintain any continuity of thought.
like this. this is a different thought stream and it has a space in between even tho i didnt indent the paragraph. and yeah i know it isnt the traditional **edit**-retentive form of a pragraph. its just done to show that it is possible to get your thoughts out then put a break in place to make what your writing legible.
if i were to run this all together it would lose the audience and and lose meaning as one cannot tell where one thought begins and another ends. example:

I agree it would make this game a bit more hardcore, BUT to those of you that think it absolutely would not work open your imagination and think a minute. It could open up new professions to keep thinks in line. Like RSF profession on naboo, you on the RSF? well, you get points for keeping certain stuff in order, fineing people, arresting them, putting people in jail. As well as the other planets having security force professions as well as militia. I love alot about SWG, its just everyday it takes so much realism out of it to me that you have to duel, duel, duel. You gotta realize if there are Security forces, Militia men, penalties for extremiest, rewards for good simaritins/heros, this "free play" world would not bad as insane as you think, people would get used to it and if they knew there was a chance of having some serious penalties for killing a few innocent people in the cantina, they would think twice. Especially if your a master BH and your standing in the corner of the cantina eye-balling them. Once again adding to that whole ROLEPLAY aspect.
I am militia leader in a pretty big player city and its fun sometimes to play my role and patrol the city, but if someone is in town making trouble, I have to say, "Ok, you....you can't use our shuttle port, how you like that! Duel me now!! Please....ok...well have a good day.....". You really think someone like Bobba Fett in Jabba's palace is gonna ask to duel you if you run in the palace shooting everyone? Oh yea...thats right......you can't attack many NPC's in places like that......Hmmmm, now theres an idea......

Thank you Mackle i read it and yes it is a rant....
Only thing i agree with this gentlemans statement is Militia SUCKS right now. Due to thier taking the City Warn away having militia is more like having realestate agents working for the city. I agree that banning people from the city is also not enough, they can still shuttle in which is kind of dumb.
I understand this guys fustrations but to put it simply, you would like to grieve the hell out of people. At a stand point City Warn has a practical use and that is the protection of a base when a known spy enters the city and tries to geta Vulnerability. For that they should allow City Warn but they should install this in the bases, so anyone that is within the range of the base can be Base Warned and made attackable if he continues to enter the area. This would stop the constant spying on Vul times and would make the spy actually work for his information by sneaking in!!!
But everything else I would have to disagree with... You have a grievers heart and you like to grieve people which is wrong to do.
