Ok, picture this. You guys have to wait for the game longer after being told you would get it the same time as us.
See why we are pissed off?
What I dont get is why not just ship the damn cds out at the same time before the game goes live? Then a week later go live and update with the patches. No big problem.
"freshman" love that word, and "prom"
No, I don't see why you all are so pissed off. As I've said before you act like americans are just special and this never happens to us. For the first 2 weeks that Neocron was released not a single store I called even knew what the game was let alone have a copy of it in stock. You know why? Because the german ditribution company CDV did a crappy job with no american advertisements (none at all), and an incompetence in actually distributing copies of the game across the continent. Some cities had it a week or two after the release, and some had to wait nearly a month before any local shops had a copy.
Last I checked the americans there didn't start bashing all of germany or europe at every turn because people understood that international distribution isn't always easy. We simply had to wait and hope that we could get a copy some time soon. Of course the country that the game was made in is going to get it first if there is a problem with international shipping, it's easiest to ship to your own country than to ship it overseas.
Starting up with all this anti-american garbage because Activision (the european distributor) for some reason had to delay shipment a week. In my opinion you all are no better than the hate mongers who label all iraqis as terrorists even though they had nothing to do with any of it. I used to completely sympathize with europeans getting the short end of the stick on things like the pre-order promotions and beta, but acting like this over a slight delay in a video game expansion (not even a full game) is beyond rediculous.

after all your guys complaining i have to ask......
sience when are we holding a gun too your head to even play this game? dont like it dont play it.... otherwise stop acting like fu*king freshman at a highschool and be quiet and wait for the game.
enough said.
Sorry but why the hell should you care if we complain or not? Its not affecting you - so why are you so bothered.....unless of course the idea of a level playing field scares you?
What has irritated European players was the release date was changed like 2 days before its 'Global Release'. Hello? do you know what GLOBAL means??? Ill put insimplewords for you :It means all around the world - now the World is quite a BIG place, and strangely enough, there is quite a bit of it outside the States - strange but true....and there are people who dont actually live in America.
SOE said Global release and then screwed it up.....thats what Europeans are upset about.
This isnt a normal game - its an INTERNATIONAL (translation:around the world) online Multiplayer game....with an economy and, with the new exapnsion, forced PvP.
A whole new crafting market is gonna spring up - US players will have a 10 Day head start ahead of European players, meaning they will be master, will have there vendors full of ships & components, acquired high level looted components before we can even grind out the first chassis....and dont say it aint true...on Beta someone grinded to Master Shipwright within a hour, its just a matter of resources. So 1 hour to master, 10 days to churn out factory crafted components and grind high level chassis.
By the time we Europeans get into the game, there won't be much of market left - don't you think?, especially since there is gonna be a glut of Shipwrights around anyway.
Now Piloting - that cant be affected can it? Wrong.
If everyone started at the same time, by the time a large a majority of the player base had to do forced PvP there would be only a few High level Master Pilots roaming around (Power gamers with no life basically) who would have mastered Pilot, have a top level ship and comp, so there wont be enough tostart serious ganking of players havingto do forced PvP for the final Master Pilots box.
Now wait 10 days+ the time to reach 4/4/4/4, Most of the US players would have reached Master by now, with top of range ships, 2 weeks of looting components (which are usually alot better than crafted) so they will have Uber B Wings / Oppressors.
Now after you hit master content is basically non exsistent, so what will alot of these Pilots do? Alot of the lamer ones will form gank squadrons and waitfor any sap stupid enough to wander in thePvP sectors trying to find a fair fight to level up.So getting to Master Pilot is gonna be ALOT harder for European pilots, as the amount of bored US master pilots means the only thing they can really do is PvP and unfortunately alot of lamers are gonnagank.
Bascially you'll need to take find at least 5-6 mates to just follow you around protecting you while you try to level up....thats sorta lame. (and thats if you can find 5-6 mates with master pilot and are on the same time as you)
So tell me? Do you think this is fair? If it was a normal single player game (eg Halflife 2) it wouldnt bother me in the least that the US got it 10 days before Europe (in factHL2 is actually being released in stores on the same day world wide - see it can be done!) but this isnt a normalSingle player game- its a Online game with a economy and an International (see - theres that word again) player base.
Im not saying delay it - but maybe now you can see why so many Europeanplayers are P.Oed about it

Those american insults really hurt. No, really they do.

Blu, the important difference is that this is an expansion to an MMORPG. There are basically just2 new professions. SWG itself being delayed in europe back thenisn't *that* bad because there are 32 professions and plenty of room to establish yourself even at such a late time.
Even so, SWG was delayed for months, Neocron as you say for a month at most. Bad example.
Yeah? Well Final Fantasy XI waskept in japanfor over a year before being released in america. How's that for an example? You can rationalize it all you want but this attitude most people are having is unexcusable. Bashing americans and trying to profile people because of a slight video game delay is childish and uncalled for. Who really cares if you're the "first" at something? Even if you had a copy of JTL right now 99% of you wouldn't be the "first" master shipwright anyway because there can only be one. As far as cornering the market that couldn't be further from the truth. A month from now none of that will even matter because no one in SWG really has a strangle hold on any kind of crafting profession at all. Just be patient until you get your copy, set up your vendors, and people will buy from you.
I understand your frustrations but trying to take it out on all americans and hate mongering isn't the way to vent. After all Activision, the JTL european distributor, is the one responsible for the delays.
