Im all for mass but it should make sense based on the ship. Why is a tie/in 40k mass when a standard tie is 20k They look identical. Furthermore why is a z-95 12k mass effesctively making it a worthless piece of junk that noone would use in thier right mind, when it is in fact larger than a Tie/in/?
The novice ships are a complete waste of time. Does anyone buy them? 12k mass, other than having a hyperdrive they are pointless. You cannot get them to outperform the starter ship in combat capability with crafted components, and by the time you loot good stuff you have leveled anyway.
The y-wing is a perfect example of a ship scaling as it should. At 1111 its not a very good ship with the components you have, but as you grow in skill it does too, and by the time you reach master the y-wing can be a very deadly ship.
Of course everything within reason. I think the z-95 should be about 50-65k mass like the a-wing, the trade off being itshouldn't manouver as well.

Interceptors arenot even compatible to A-wings in JtL. And remember this is a game, not the movie. In the movie, Rebel ships are greatly outnumbered so it does really matter, but in this game, it's not the case, so everything should be wellbalanced to be fair and fun.

Sure, go ahead and take away our only good fighter before master.
All Imperial ships on the lower end of the pilot tree pale in comparison to the low level rebel ships. Think of it this way: X-wing and Tie interceptor
X-wing holds almost twice as much mass as the interceptor and can carry 3 times the weapons.
'Nuff said.
Well, that makes sense, since the Interceptor iscomparable tothe Awing, not Xwing.
From the Stratics Chat:
Brekkee: *monthigos* Question: Right now the mass for TIE Interceptors is woefully low. Is there any plans to increase the mass? (heh, this is the last question I wanted them to ask)
Darth_Platypus: The TIE Interceptor is also one of the fastest ships in JTL
Darth_Platypus: The interceptors are balanced to be very fast, and thus very light
Darth_Platypus: So for now, I do not intend to increase the mass on these, because they already have a significant advantage in their speed and handling
So, the devs call it one of the fastest and most maneuverable....sounds comparable to the Awing to me...![]()
