Oh, BTW, the A-Wings have a higher corner velocity than the Tie Advanced. You can make faster turns at higher speeds.






A friend of mine is Master Pilot, runs a full set of RE'd parts in a Z-95 no problems at all. (of course, he's been working on the set of loot parts since the game came out...but that's besides the point)

All Imperial ships on the lower end of the pilot tree pale in comparison to the low level rebel ships. Think of it this way: X-wing and Tie interceptor


X-wing holds almost twice as much mass as the interceptor and can carry 3 times the weapons.

Well, that makes sense, since the Interceptor iscomparable tothe Awing, not Xwing.

I honestly used a crafted Z95 up and until i was second tier and could get the Long Probe. A well outfitted Z95 is a nice thing to have. I feel the Base Ywing is a waste of a ship slot, only really good for multi crewing. Its Mass and ability to hold good armor and weapons is outweighed by its lack of maneuverability.

But these of course are just my opinions.

play Rouge squadron II... in the mission beforethe Hoth battleyou are in a nebula and you need to get into an A wing to destroy the TIEs... this game is AFTER Hoth so A wings have been invented


second, TIE advanced were prototypes and there were many of them... If i remember right the Imps abandoned them around the time they abandoned the Remote controlled TIES (X wing Alliance game)

I wouldnt trust the Xwing series to follow the timeline as much as i would SOE. Developers will do what they always have done since god invented computers. They will add stuff that people want to play not what is supposed to be there.

Why? Well thats easy: the TIE Advanced that we use is not Vader's actual ship, but a series of prototypes which came from the original Vader-TIE design. Then, after lots of research and improvement, they made the Interceptor. The Interceptor should be bumped to 65k mass and 2p/0m, and the Advanced should be reduced to the current TIE-Int stats. Well, that makes sense, since the Interceptor iscomparable tothe Awing, not Xwing.



Interceptors arenot even compatible to A-wings in JtL. And remember this is a game, not the movie. In the movie, Rebel ships are greatly outnumbered so it does really matter, but in this game, it's not the case, so everything should be wellbalanced to be fair and fun.

" We were vastly outnumbered by the Imperials" and this was EVEN after the second death star
" The Emporer was very thorough in his extermination of the Jedi Knights. Almost none live, and the price of Jedi artifacts in the Galaxy are very rare and are extremely hard to procure"
and in the books, the ONLY MAJOR COLLECTION OF JEDI ARTIFACTS WAS IN THE IMPERIAL MUESEUM BEHIND SEALED INACCESIBLE WALLS! and IT WASNT OPENED UNTIL CORASCANT WAS TAKEN OVER BY THE REBELS.
(Hence, a couple years after endor)
The timeline we have right now is so F*cked up. The PURGE OF THE JEDI does not mean that I see a guild of jedi going and pwning everything in sight....
but, alas, profits kill the storyline somehow

do not agree.Jtl would not be fun any moreif those ships are removed. This is a game, so screwed the timeline and continuity.
