Lame. Ace Loot? BAH. What kinda crap is that when every dirtside imp gets one?Yeah, rebels should have a million helmets to give out because they're so well-funded... /eyeroll
Imperials got the cash, rebels don't.
I disagree about rebels being too poor to have helmets.
Primarly because in many scense of the movies, they were equiped with them. But not only just helmets, full on uniforms, with their own insignia. If the alliance can afford to uniformly equip their troops on many types of enviorments (snow or wooodlands for example), i find it hard to beleive they couldnt equip their fighter pilots with the proper personal protective equipment to do their jobs.
Rebels should have standard issue helmets. If imperials can get a standard issue flight suit and helmet coming out of the gate at teir 1, i see no reason why rebels shoudln't. Both have an ace helmet and jacket as reward, but only one currently has a standard issue helmet. That needs to be addressed.

I just think that Rebels should get theirs at the same time as the flight suit with the color of the squadron they chose... (ie a blue striped helmet for corellia). The ace helmet is a high end trophy... that's why it has to look different.

well technicly you CAN'T Fly a Tie and live without the "Helmet"(its really a part of a spacesuit) as the TIEs are not presurized and so NO AIR. On the otherhand the Reb. Ships are Presurized so all the Helmet is Crash Portection, of course being vaperized really makes the point mute. The box they ware around there necks is a protection shield for when they have to eject. So that should be given on exit to tier 1.
and I have 3 Rebel Flightsuits none crafted, 2 from the theampark(did it twice on same toon) and 1 from Tier 1, Not to mention the B-wing Flightsuit I got from the second trip though the Theampark after it's rewards where revamped.

Exactly right, the ties have no life support, so technically, tie fighter pilots have to wear it (even tho it isn't required to in game). I think the rebs should have a flight suit with reb emblum on it and the open helment, then maybe some other type of flightsuit and the current helment for the ace, so we can make the imps mad =). I agree with the boxes that have shields, very good idea to impliment into the game, but i guess i don't know how hard it is to program something like that.
But that's just my 2 cents

All it really would take to do the Flight box I think is some time to do the art as it would sit in the Vest/Chestplate slot that is open on all bodysuits to my knowage. I know it is on the Flight suit. What anoyes me is that the Reb Flight suit not only is Player Crafable(fine just not the god alfaul Orange the rebs use) but its a Reward that was given Twice already in the Reb theame Park and in its Reward Revamp. And it never does anything wich is fine I just like the look anyway. If it had the Reb logo on it to Deferaniate it from other Reward/Crafted versions of it that would be fine, but I do think the rebs should have the equivilant Survival Gear that the Imps get in the Macon Protection genreator (I think that is what its called) that traps a small layer of air around you when you eject.
