Just because you're an "Ace" doesn't mean the title means something. More and more "Aces" are being towed up the tiers by friends and guildmates, and they haven't taken the time or expended the energy to figure out how to cope with the "hard" parts.
A Tier 4 mostly-self-made pilot is better than an Ace who has been towed up the tiers.
Hard parts as in actually tryingpvp more than once?

Spacebombs rock! 
I grab two others to gun and take the YT. Last time, I was told it was awesome to see the YT behind that vette with turrets blazing and spacebombs and Mark 4 protons blowing. Should have taken a screenie.

now how are you keeping the gunboats from chewing up your ship. Seems to me the range on the SR is extened to ours, and on every mission to destroy it I have been on it eats shields pretty fast. BEst group I had 18 of us worked to gether cleared the fighters, and disabled the SR, let everyone get back from repairing, and blew it. works everytime, and has worked in groups as small as 8, but you need enough guys around so the turret ships dont smash you to bits.

I don't know what to say... i did it a couple times on kauri and there's always people in kessel waiting for the corvette... last time i tried, there was 2 groups with several masters in them... let me tell you that the vette got owned pretty quick.
