E = MC squared
not sure how to do the squared sign on PC's yet.
E = energy
M = mass
C = speed of light in a vacuum
just imagine something of the mass of a ton crashing into something in space at the speed of light big bang!!!!

You'd still see light, light from distant stars, etc. Do ships come with headlights?

There's some debate on this.
The literal fact is that theorhetically if you could actually achieve light speed, you would effectively be travelling the same speed as light from the headlights, and you would never see it.
If you exceed the speed of light, you would see streaks of red light trailing behind you, and anything in front of you would appear bluish.
However, according to the current research, we could not surpass the speed of light, so effectively you would see nothing until you slowed down.
If you were travelling just under the speed of light, the light from your headlights would appear reddish because it's travelling away from you. (if I remember the red/blue shift thing right...could have it backwards...been about 15 years since I studied this stuff)

Ships come with running lights, and beacons. (at least every ship I've seen.)

You would not see the light emitted from which ever direction you are travelling. You would, however, see light being emitted from different angles. If your statement was true, then at lightspeed, everything would be pitch black. You would not be able to see other stars, planets, suns, etc. I don't think that is true.

Perhaps it is flaw in the design, and the fish heads should do a recall. Come on folks, they are not a proven fighter till ROTJ (wait, they are not supposed to exhist yet?). You have to expect some trouble with a new design.

Found 1 advantage of the bug when i'm attacking a SD my ships profile is a lot smaller so i take a lot less hits and i have a much tighter firing arc, still a very annoying bug.
Update: the devs pushed out a small patch did that fix it?
