Thread: Veteran Players & JTL Did you buy?
They did a good job on the expansion. It would be nice if they'd add more missions to the trainers or npc's that give space missions besides the trainers but overall the expansion is awesome.
Just to put it in perspective: (Note: I have played over 20 MMO's, so I'm comparing to a wide game base
SWG has the best crafting system of any MMO I have played to date
SWG has the best combat system of any MMO I have played to date
SWG has the most variety of things to do of any MMO I have played to date
SWG has better graphics than most, and comparable to the rest.
SWG has better music than most, and comparable to the rest.
SWG has a much better community than most, and comparable to the rest.
SWG has much better support than most, and comparable to the rest (it's FAR better than it was in EQ, DAOC, AO, HZ, etc. folks... TRUST me)
Overall I would have to say that, while it DOES have it's faults, SWG is the best game out right now. WOW is still in beta but, quite frankly, I'm NOT planning to play another game where I have to smack orcs around all day long. SWG is heads and tails above the others, especially now that we have JTL.
Edit: Please note, I was also in the original SWG Beta, I did NOT buy SWG at release specifically because it did NOT have space flight. I picked up SWG in June when I found out that JTL was finally nearing release. I am glad I did. This expansion makes SWG what it should have been in the first place. I will say this: I am glad that I waited to buy SWG until JTL was nearly out because I only payed $30 for SWG and $29 for JTL so only $59 for the game, which means, to me, that I payed full price for the full game. I do agree, however, that this should have been a free expansion. That being said, I did buy the expansion and I do think it's worth it.

forgot to add which programmer recently got divorced or got a paper cut and cried and neglected to add a clone for space on purpose or not...take it you blow up, but even on landif you get chewed up, poisoned, hacked to death with an axe, or shot in game you can atleast clone with no wounds (meaning the 400HAM and 400BF per session)...shame on you mr programmer!
I have died several times and for the first few times I didn't even go land either. Needless to say when I did go to ground I had to spend many minutes in the cantina and med center. This didn't bother me though. There are plenty of noob medics who don't mind healing your wounds, and there is always ample dancers and musicians playing...

Smooth launch, smooth game play. Awesome expansion. I have to say this really rekindled my interest quite a bit. In fact, I would probably have been switching to EQ2 had they not introduced this element. The leap made from beta was truly amazing. Heck, even if you don’t want to be a star pilot, the ability to go from planet to planet alone makes it worth it
If you are really all that bitter about this whole franchise, then I can’t emphasize enough you should just move on…let go of your anger, it’s just a game.
