ISDs take thousands of people to run properly, due to their massive size. Game-wise, you'd have to have a few dozen people up there.

ISD's are massive though, and the Space Zones are far too small to incorporate something of that size. Unless they expanded the space zones, or made these ships only Deep-space useable, and expanded Deep Space into a massive area, I don't think you'd be able to manoeuver them effectively.

Corvette, I'm all for, if they take a dozen people or so to run (Since PoB ships require about half a dozen to operate fully). Would put a great new spin on space PvP.

This is such a cool idea!! I was hoping for a mission like this for a long time, but never thought they'd let us have the ship...


I've got a few questions though that come to mind. First, a corvette interioris like the size of 10 houses! What kind of storage do they plan on giving us for this?


Will the ship always be overt? I figure this would be similar to faction armor used to be... you must be declared in order to fly it.


Something that big, could it be used more like a mobile base - perhaps even a player city of sorts?


Dang, when the heck are they gonna post this on the website?

Anyone seen a Hutt-esque Cruiser in Dath sector? Can't remember the name, only that it had a domey, vaguely TIE-ish window at the front, and a smaller bridge at the back. Was friggin' huge, but not That big, if you know whatI mean. IE, feasibly controlled by players, but not so small as to be a glorified Y-8.



As for ISD's, if they are implemented in this system, they should definately be limited to one per guild or something. In fact, that goes for all cap ships, in my opinion. IE, the Guild Master (or head of the guild or whatever) has the ability to take the ship up, and can delegate that ability to other guild members. This is the way it should be done, IMO, since there are so many guilds out there now...

ISDs or equivelant would also need a minimum guild member count + fp or some kind of prestiege cost.

Id still say make an ISD or a Moncal a guild ship =) hehe id love to hyper into corellia with a group of around 40 people on an ISD and start an orbital bombarment.. Devs make it happen!
