Before I continue this argument, anyone got stats on the average time it takes for a lone skilled fighter to take down the ISD? That'll play a big part in my response to this...
Answer: less than 20mins and thats with me not using missles (sb2's)
Ive actually taken it out without it hitting me once. Too bad it only give 10k credit chips for a kill ![]()
Oh and TIE's do spawn if you kill it once and come back for 2nd's (or thirds

Well, a bit OT but my little suggestions for DS are:
- if you die, you spawn two or three thousand meters near the SD (rebs: near the station)
Its fun to pvp but its not to get kicked back to endor every time. If you want to leave just hyperjump. After 2 or 3 times most enemies or friends are leaving the party. Running droid programs shouldnt be affected by death. (Serious disadvantages would keep the players from pvping)
- put some Ties near the SD but also some Wings, let a corvette fly near the SD for some action from time to time. This would probably help to keep some Imps near the SD. Actually Im far away from the SD most of the time, so any Reb can just attack it without any danger. As someone allready said its pretty booooring just to hang around the SD although the huge SD is an impressive backdrop. A good idea too is an emergency call (at least in DS).
- fix performance issues or implement "viewing distance" in space as an game option. Often there's a big crowd of ships in the back that makes fights a pain in the butt because of serious FPS fluctuations.
- keep it simple. Yeah, with this suggestions its more like an egoshooter teamdeathmatch battle. But deathmatch works, egoshooter servers are filled. PvP in SWG does not and DS is pretty empty most of the time.
