24k damage? Saw a marksman with a T21 doing 24k damage at the Gen. Cave on Yavin what attack was he probably using?

Its highly likely it was the bugged version of Strafeshot2. Others can offer more technical answers, but basically the AoE damage hits corpses, but since it cant hurt them it all just sorts of adds up in this one little burst until it finds a valid target, and then annihilates it. Its a bug that all AoE attacks have, and SS2 is a pretty damaging shot as is.

And to use the T21 he has to be a Rifleman, not just a Marksman.

I basically do PvE dont pvp at all my question is this..
Which template would be best for PvE and if you can give a few reasons why i would appreciate it... reason isam going to use one of them cant make up my mind which one is better ...
The 2 templates are as follows.
1. Scout 3.0.0.0 = terrain nagotiation Marksman=4.0.0.1 Brawler=4.0.4.0 Rifleman= Master Swordman=4.4.0.0
TKA=4.4.0.0 Med=1.0.4.0
2. Scout=same Marksman=same Brawler=0.0.4.0 Rifleman=same Swordman=Master Med=3.0.4.0
Those are the 2 templates am thinking of using ....

When you say effective PvE template, I'm assuming you want to be able to solo just about anything.
To reach that goal, you want to have a template that has as high a melee def mod as you can get. Almost all high level creatures/npcs are melee types. Besides that, it really doesn't matter, as long as you master the profession.
The current PvE super-template is the all brawler one:
Master HS, Master TK, Master Fencer, Master Brawler.
Of course, if you want to be able to harvest stuff or heal yourself, you're gonna have to throw things around.

ok..
but the reason am doing it this way is that they plan on caping all defensive mods.... and they are nerfing warcry 2 so i doesnt really make sense to get master brawler.....
I would like to keep rifleman because of the mind shots and mind bleeds i think it goes well with swordman and i can at least reck havok on an enemy from a distance with conceal shot before they charge, then i would just switch to the hammer and tap that skull...
so should i do the one with tka/swordman or just go ahead and master swordman.....
Thanks for the feed back....

You can also do it with Pistols (fanshot.) Its a bug that has been fixed as of Publish 7 (or so we have been told.)

When I first started playing SWG I chose the CHer profession along with pistoleer as I liked soloing opposed to waiting hours finding a group and such. Now Im thinking about going Bounty hunter and was wondering if I can still solo without relying on a pet. I know that I could get like 3-2 in CHer still but wanted to allocate those skill points elsewhere. So my main question is do you all solo or mainly group and such?
Also how good PVP wise would a char speccing in BHer pistol 4 and master Pistoleer compared to a straight up bounty hunter.
Thanks in advance for the answers to these questions.

Well, if you go for the pistoleer hybrid, then go over to the pistoleer forum because your question applies to them and not us.
As for the Master Bounty Hunter... depends on what you're doing when you try to solo.
