Well now hang on a second. I've been playing since last September or October. I'm not planning to quit. I enjoy SWG quite a bit, so much so that I even bought another key and started a second account. So I'm definitely not an SWG naysayer. HOWEVER...I don't really plan to buy JTL, at least not right away. And if I did buy it, it would probably be after it's been out a while, once it costs less than $50, because I wouldn't be buying it for the gameplay, only for the other content (whatever that might be). See, I don't like flight sims, and JTL is a twitch-based flight sim. So really, the people who prefer MMORPGs (like me) might not be the same people who enjoy twitch-based flight sims, and therefore might not have any interest in JTL.
I agree everyone who plays for a year or more in this game deserves something BUT this really isnt the thread to whine about it in. THIS IS JUST ONE REWARD. Its not like its THE ONLY THING EVER GONNA BE OFFERD.
I hate to point this out, but you don't know that. A lot of people are probably pretty surprised that this is the "veteran reward." We don't know what, if anything, they might offer in the future.
I have been playing since beta on and off. I love this game and i am so happy that the devs have put in a really cool reward. I COULD CARE LESS if everyone and there alt has this ship cause I HAVE IT.
Well that's good, because by the time JTL comes out, just about EVERYONE who's playing now will have qualified for the silver pimp ship. 
For those of you playing 6+++ months and NOT buying JTL how bout they give you a complimentory purple special 6 month Bantha Mount.

I Would love to tell you, that your dead wrong about this. But it's sad to say your not.I have been Really Down as of late with the game and the way the Devs have been handling things (Jedi Revamp ) No Smuggler reVamp ) and others But This was a very cool thing to do and I do hope it doesn't put a sour taste in the teams mouths to continue to do things like this. I am Happy they they think of stuff like this, The Holos at Christmas was a Sweet gift and made the jedi at least someone reach-able. This also adds to it.. Now for the JTL I myself feel as you do that why buy this game with no love of space or want to have a ship to speed around in. But this is a RPG game and as such like anything else .. lots of people buy games for different reasons, Some may want to Roll play in the world and not Fly off .. it's in the same mindset that some love PVP and other Don't.. But I hope we all see that this was a nice idea and not give the devs too much hell over it.. after they could have said. "here is a website for everyone that has been on a year to login to and talk about how great the game is " AND nothing else. Some horses are just better to never look in the mouth.

As for the game card people yes this is a problem that should be conciderd and measures taken to make sure those who play with game cards are equally rewarded.
Maybe offer a 6 month game card that unlocks your ship or something??
