Dear lord of all that is holy slarus just shut up. you wanna kill mindless npcs ima suggest battlefront for ya, get a few of yer friends over and kill them over and over and over and over and over and over...oops sorry im getting repetitive like npc ai. a lot of people complain they are one or two shot kills. allow me to look at episode 4 death star battle scene...dang those ships died in...strange...one or two shots.....tho i dont seem to have that problem in a properly equipped tie advance. i spend a lot of time in kessel helping my fellow imperials fight their way through the corvette. i have also done my share of camping...not spawn points mind you. i camp the corvette itself, because i dont know about you, but i purchased star WARS thinking that pvp was going to be a part of this. I am disgusted that i cant shoot and kill every rebel fighter i see. if you are trying to solo the vette, too bad if my advance takes you out. and gank squads....you have got to be kidding me, i have been attacked by 5 at the most at one time...and i killed 3. yes i died but when on the ground can you accomplish that. space atm is the great equalizer...no specials...no uber buffs and armor...no stacking, which is why for a moment i had faith in the devs. i had thought they learned from their mistakes, maybe for a moment they did. but then the whiners called out and out comes the giant nerf bat. if you dont want to pvp stay out of kessel. the loading screen tells you you can be attacked. this is star wars, you better thank god lucas doesnt have actual control over this because "covert factioned pilots" in completely recognizable faction aligned ships that cannot attack each other is destruction of star wars at a fundemantal level...you are trying to make it star boohoo i cant master and kill npcs all day long without those mean dirty imperials fighting for their cause. you wanna master pilot...deal with the CHANCE you may be shot down. I mean one or two hits for everyone...check your radar and hit em first. should you be able to solo the vette? the devs realize people will find a way around a repetitive npc ai. the challenge is handling goin in a circle and watching because god forbid something actually might give you a reason to *gasp* manuever out of the way...maybe into a square...or dear god a hexagon...the endless possibilities. go get battlefront, but whatever you do, dont play the multiplayer because it may challenge you

The title of this thread still makes me laugh, becausefew people were happy the way it was and how does watering down the requirments make anybody but those who have an anti pvp attitude happy? I was happy before now I feel it's just more pleasing to the majority.

I made note of the changes to make your post accurate.

No kidding slarus, what did you expect when you bought a mmorpg? Heaven forbid an Imperial attack a rebel in PvP space. I suspect the whole reason of dropping the master mission there was to make it difficult.

Well shockers come in groups tonight. I am not thrilled with the change to Kessel, I feel Kessel should be a PvP zone.

What I was against is this fantasy that Master Pilot is rare, magicial and should be for PvPers and those who will give up thier principles of not wanting PvP.

And that no one should have been forced to be in the middle of a PvP zone for one skill box.

While PvPers are a minority in the game they are a majority here as most invovled gamers post on these boards and many of them PvP. Sadly for you there is no data out there to support MMO players prefer PvP, as PvP only games are rated the lowest, have the lowest subscriber base and games with consentual or no PvP are the most popular.

Fact is this game revolves around a war between two opposing factions. This game is what I believe primarily based off PvP. The whole reason behind the master mission in Kessel is that you'll face non-AI players that will actually give you a run for your money. They won't let you match speed and just tailgate them while you blast away. I suggest you group up with other rebels and actuallyus skills to Master Pilot.

who said you were forced to get the box? i didnt see the you MUST master the skill gmail. You chooooooose to go master pilot correct? ahh well then you have a litttle issue here because kessel is a pvp zone, if you CHOOOOOOOOSE not to pvp then i suggest you CHOOOOOOOSE another profession. and again i say...welcome to star WARS. and please, show me where you are getting all that subscription info, because 86% of all statistics are made up. though i do believe unreal tournament did pretty well

There is no point in PvP as the game currently stands. Many PvP players liked having the master mission in Kessel, because it actually made PvP worth something... the faction that controlled Kessel could get their pilots in to do the master mission.

It made PvP worth something for some people while taking away from some other people. That's not a good way of giving prupose to PvP. Seriously, I think the SWG devs need a few clues on how to make PvP have more purpose for a broader base of people and overall more fun. Heck, even the hacks at Funcom managed to make a half decent land control system.

PvP in SWG needs a purpose, that is true. But that purpose must never be to cause grief for the other faction, everyone wants a fun game. Also, said purpose must always be optional. You can't really force people to be involved in PvP when they have no interest in it.

Primarily PvP, let's just see. Well in the ground game we have declaring a faction or not as a choice, then you can be Imp or Reb with little to no PvP as you can be Overt or not, then you got if your careful rare TEFs, so out of 3 factions you can be any faction with almost no PvP I was Reb for a long time without even a TEF, doesn't seem to lean PvP there. you got6 possible play sytles Neut, Reb and Imp Covert, Reb and Imp overt ad TEFsand 3 of which involove PvP for 50% PvP dead even.

In space you got Overt or covert again, plus two PvP zones...out of 10 for 20% open PvP, yeah that leans towards something PvE. For space you have Neut, Reb and Imp, you have overt and 2 space zones for PvP out of 10 for 3 of 13 or 33%, PvP leans PvE actually.

Combined it is 6 of 19 for PvP for almost 30% PvP that's not primarily PvP that's not even dead even PvP/PvE.
