Does anybody know the exact amount of resources to get get the first bottom row of boxes? Or just one box for that matter. Thank You in advance.

EDIT: Also how much XP do you get for the Novice stuff like chassis. Thanks

OK...There are 4 chassis blueprints you get at Novice Shipwright. These are also the only chassis types you can make at the public Starship Crafting Stations you'll see in starports and around town. All the other chassis types need a private crafting station.

The 4 chassis types you get at Novice are:

Scyk light fighter (style 1), Scyk light fighter (style 2), TIE light duty fighter, and the Z-95.

All of these chassis types take the same resources: 2k steel, 1k aluminum, 1k low grade ore, 1k inert petrochemical.

I didn't bother crafting one of each, but a Z-95 in practice mode gave 1312 Shipwright xp.

Once you get to the first "Spaceframe" skill, you can start making bigger chassis (obviously). I didn't look at all the chassis from the first tier, but a standard Y-Wing is a first tiership, and that takes 7k steel, 2k aluminum, 4k low grade ore, and 2k inert petrochemical, and gave 3937 Shipwright xp in practice mode.

I won't go through every chassis, but that gives you an idea to start with.

I can't see the amount of xp needed for the various tiers of Shipwright, but the pilot and Shipwright skill trees are on Live right now, so you'll have to go figure up the xp and resources needed yourself, I'm afraid. I hope this infohelps, though.

Awsome, Thank You very much for the info and yes this helps me out.

I hear that your ships have "juice" for your guns, is it true/how do you have it recharged if you use it all up? (Go into another space? Have it "repaired"? Etc?)

Yes I've been living under a rock

All your weapons are fueled by your capacitor component. When you run out of stored capacitor energy, it will recharge over time.

Hi guys...

This question has been asked but I checked the whole thread and didn't see the answer anywhere!

What is the difference between the style 1, style 2, etc, that we see?

Also, can anyone post pics of the different paint schemes for the Reb and Merc ship?

Thanks in advance guys

I believe looks is what differs for the different styles. Not sure if that's all there is too it though, never did explore the freelance tree much.

Pics for all reb and merc ships would be a painful job. There's 6 different texture styles for each ship, so there would be a lot of work to get the entire list of ships done.

I know there is a thread in this forum that shows all the X-wing styles though.

Sorry if this has been asked/anwered...

1. Are the space physics arcade/sim? They have run the gammut throughout beta and have finally settled on a physics system that is neither arcade nor sim but is very.... Star Wars.
2. Can changing out the capacitors, change the weapon fire rate? Yes
3. There is alot of speak about modifying your ship, is their a wide variety of mods... ie, several shields to choose from? More variation than you care to count. Trust me when I say that these ships are completely customizable
4. Rebel and Private ships are the only ones that can be custom painted, are their any benefits to the Imperial ships to make up for the lack of content? SUPER agile but on the whole they tend to have less mass and less hardpoints for weapons but you can fly circles around most other ships.

Thanks, and sorry again if these have been asked b4.

How do you assign buttons on a joytstick for JtL?

You use the keymap button just like how you assign keys/buttons in the ground game.

My pleasure. BTW, the fastest and most agile craft in the game is still the A Wing.... those little buggers are FAST!

And to get in to further detail on the customization the components of your ships are:

  • Reactor (the power generator, this limits how much you can put on board if your energy ratio is red you are trying to pull too much from the reactor and not all will work)

  • Engine (self explanatory)

  • Capacitor (regulates power to weapons, determines recharge rate, etc.)

  • Projectile (1-3 hardpoints determined by the ship, your blasters, Ion Cannons, or Disruptors. Blasters can be made Red or Green)

  • Ordnance (Missiles, Bombs, Torpedoes)

  • Countermeasures (4-5 different types to counter those so very frustrating missiles, these will be your best friend if you learn how to use them properly)

  • Boosters (after burners to give your ship a temporary thrust, can be a LIFE saver)

  • Droid Interface (If you want to use an astromech or flight comp you need one, the faster the better)

  • Armor (Front / Back, good strong armor is what you want, light weight so you can fit heavier junk on board. Metered by the red rings by the radar)

  • Shields (Self Explanatory, watch the blue rings around your radar these'll let you know how your shields are doing.)

Each of these has literally dozens of different looted and crafted components available. It's a work of art to get your ship exactly the way you want it. Some of them change the physical appearance of your ship (engines, reactors, and projectiles) which is a great touch. Add to that the 6 different texture kits and paint and don't expect to see two identical ships in space (unless of course it is intentionally done so).

1-4 actually, the B-wing has four hardpoints.

Yeah I thought the B-Wing had 4 but I wasn't positive.
