My tatic has been to go to all the main city bazars once or twicea week and buy out the level 1 and 2 parts. (I will buy level 3s if there are three of the same type there otherwise its not worth the hassle.) So far Ive done 60 or so and I have two number 7 disks and three pilots that diliver direct to my vendors instead of placing them on the bazar.


BTW although Im not new to the SWG Family, I am new to the profession. /TipHat you FAQ section was invaluble during my grind and setup. Thanks.

Yes, I've gotten them from L1, all the way up to L6, they don't have to be named Kuat, and you don't have to be a master shipwright, just to answer a few common questions. There's a good RE post here:Guide to Reverse Engineering

Oh, and I think you're much more likely to get them from L1 parts just because it's so much faster to RE them. Drag, drop, analyze, etc., vs trying to match up levels and part types.

I routinely collect Firespray schematics by doing the following:-


1) Ignore anything except lvl 1 & 2 items (3 and above just takes too long to collect enough loot to make the chance of success viable).

2) Wait until you have enough lvl1 and lvl 2 items to do 100-120 RE attempts.

3) Start RE all your level 2 then all your level 1 items in 1 sitting.

4) You should get 1 or more schematics doing this every time.


It works simply because every time you RE an item you get a percentage chance of success, so the more items you have the more likely you are to succeed. Don't even consider starting until you have at least 100 RE attempts. Iestimate the game allocates a 1.25% chance of success.


Only once have I done the above and got no schematic, the most I ever got out of 100 attempts was 3.


I have made my first set of Firesprays and am close to a 2nd and 3rd set.

If you're destroying the CAT just because itonly has one charge left you're wasting a charge, and the time to destroy the CAT. There is no truth to the rumor that you can't get a disk piece off the last charge. I've gotten many that way.

I have only been master SW for about a month now, and have Re'd about 600 parts so far..


I am based In Aartan Ridge on Tatooine, but the 2 disks I have gotten so far were numbers 4 & 6, so it wouldn't fit to the above suggested pattern..


Both disks came from low lvl parts, one form lvl 1 and the next from a lvl 2, don't remember the make of the 1st part that gave one now (the no 6 disk) but the number 4 disk I got i did get from combining 2 Kuat parts..


Made me think I was on to something there for a while, which is why I browsed the forum just now...


I'm happy to see though that it was not so

parts of the schem drop from reverse engineering components, there are 8 parts once you assemble the schem you will get a limited use schem between 3-5 uses i believe.

lvl1 and 2 loot is the way to go, not much thought about what your RE'ing.

If you have a guild or some friends who can help get them over to Tatooine system and decimate as many T1 ships as they can,which should give you plenty loot to RE.

I get my guildies to do this if I'm pushing to finish a full set of disks.

I've been Master Shipwright since just after launch, and done 1 full KSE schem so far.

My last 5 KSE schem part drops have ALL been part 4/8. All of them. I live and work on Lok. Although I understand that the KSE drop is random, it seems highly improbable to get 5 in a row like this?

I have a friend who is also Master Shipwright, and he has also been plagued by part 4/8 in his last few drops as well.... :/

Perhaps the random number generator is skewed in some fashion. Or perhaps I'm just feeling aggrieved.

I'll get my coat. Oh, by the way, Iam on Chimaera like the side bar says, and am in desperate need of a single part 8/8 to complete my next full schem, paying well for it. Get in touch if you can help!
