not bad, not bad at all...

mostly wondering about how many ships one person can own, also how much time will be spent fixing this and the normal game? Will normal SWG suffer?. I also like the idea of owning spacestation, or even having a player city out there. This expansion opens a whole new can of worms, hope it will breathe some life back into SWG.

time will tell...

Thankyou for this great news.

I am glad to know that atmospheric flight is technically possible and a possibility to addin the future. I would like to say that PVP should be modeled after EVE-online both on the planets and in spacewhere w griefer would have a low security rating that would be griefed back by npc patrols to a crippling point until they earn enough security points to not be bothered by the patrol and are free to move about.

let's say I were to destroy and innocent player ship just so I could enjoy watching them break into a million pieces. Then I would end up getting a low security ratingand be hunted down by npc space patrols everytime I enter that sector until I gain enough good faction points (securitypoints) with whoever is in that sector.(eg: Imperial fighters in imperial control space, Hutt fighters in hutt control space, etc.)

Also, the players I have attacked on the planet orin space would be able to place a bounty on me so that a bounty hunter couldhunt me down and destroy me.AND, there the ground breaking and I believe to be the most immersive solution to allow open pvp in a MMO Game isTimed penalty for grief cuasing.. such as.....If I were tokill an innocent player, and Iend up getting hunted down by npc patrols and killed, itwouldn't be able to clone for at least three hours of real time even though the player I killed gets to instantly clone. I would actually incur a penalty that would give me no authorization to clone myself.

With this solution, both SWG ADE and JTLS would be much more immersive and add to the adventure feel. The griefer could get away from the npc patrols through tactful maneuvars and possibly warping away, but the chances of surviving the npc patrol inctercepts would be very slim.

Please anyone, tell me what they think about this idea and whoever has the authority, please send this information to those in power to possibly add this to their consideration.

Well I can finally have a taxi colored cargo ship and give ppl fares but too bad i cant have an Andy Kauffman cardboard cutout placed on my ship.

One question that has been bothering me though...

WILL THERE BE PIRATE CLOTHING?

like the wookiees can wear eye patches and the hats but th other races can wear a whole pirate outfit and you can consider hooks as melee weapons.

Devs please answer my stupid question

thanks

Is it me? Or does it seem like the ships move entirely too slow in space? it looks they are going like 5mph around a Corvette in one scene fighting, thats not what i call fast paced.

It's Well known that in canon Tie Variants and Tie Interceptors had NO hyperdrive.

Will you break with Canon to provide Imperial Players this option if they use Tie Fighters?

If so how will you represent the tactical advantage the Rebellion had by haveing Hyperdrives on all Starfighters, as opposed to Tie Pilots who had to rely on being Ferried from system to system in Capital ships?

better question would be... if you took hyperdrive from the Tie's and only allowed us to travel via capital ship would you want us arriving with said capital ship in our control?

tie's need the hyperdrive and combat must be balanced in a game like this. Else imperial players will become obsolete - no fun playing if you can never ever win >_< - remember 1st and foremost this is a game not the movie

Is there any chance that there will be some mission terminals, or even better, player given missions that will allow smugglers to smuggle goods from planet to planet once JTL goes live? How about adding a ton of illegal goods that will be confiscated from regular players if they arrive at a starport with them in their inventories. Smugglers could spend hours upon hours just transporting goods from planet to planet for hire. This would give smugglers something extra to do. And will the YT-1300 have a cargo hold? Gotta put that stuff somewhere :-)

Anything for a profit! That's a smuggler's motto.

I saw your question in the other thread acovertrebel.

Beta information is still going through the approval process. JustG is working hard to push it through to get info to you. The basic gist we have already stated - Fan Fest people will get in round 1. We'll also be taking a group of people from the community in round 1 (with preference to those who have consistently helped us out on Test Center). After that we give preference to long term subcribers.

You're giving preference to those that go to Fan Fest over those of us who have been here for years? That hurts.

Nice publish! It answered alot of my questions....

but I still have some more

Will the Shipwright profession be related to the artisan profession? or is it an entirely different branch?

Is there any way to capture opposing faction ships? (like on a Star Destroyer u land in the launch bay and steal a ship)

I apologize if this has been answered, but my friends and I got to thinking and got a few ideas.

Will Entertainers be able to heal battle fatigue aboard vessels? I'm thinking, get us a YT-1300 and start a Party Space Yacht...

Ok maybe we can get an answer somewhat to this question from either a Dev or Shiro. My question on the Jump to Lightspeed is about the shipwright profession. I read that ships will not get destroyed, so why in the world do we need a new profession instead of a npc vendor, because once the WHOLE server has 1000 shipwrights and then the WHOLE server has a ship, where is the repeat business. I do think that this will do 1 of two things make ships so outrageously priced, or make shipwright dull and boring. I wish there was a way to get ships to decay or something so that we shipwright wannabe's would really have something to look forward to on down road after everyone has the ships they want. Another idea is have the shipwrights be the ONLY ones who can repair the ships or something, please give us some thought and insight on this issue please.

Thanks in advance and for your time.

Fatal

well if you read what the wrote about shipwrights, you would know that the loot you find in space is not complatable with your ship right away , however you can take it to a shipwright and they can reverse engeringer it so that it work in your ship.

Also while the ship can not be destory only badly damaged your engines, shields, hyperdrive, weapons and other systems will wear out and need to be replace. and this is where the shipwrights will make their money
