Thread: Ask any and all JTL questions here NDA LIFTED!!!

Another question!
Out of all the rebel ships, which one is a good fighter with a good amount of speed but still decent shields?
I was thinking an X-Wing might be good, what are the different weaponry slots it has? How many weapon slots does it have?
Also, is a B-Wing a decent fighter? Or is it really just an assault bomber?
Is it possible to equip an A-Wing with better shielding? How many weapon slots does it have?
Are all the ships really well-rounded to the point where I can choose one and its about the same as all the others?
Thanks!
The strength of the shields and such is pretty much only up to what components you have in your ship. However some ships will fit more and better components due to a higher mass value. I would say that the X-wing might be the best "balanced" rebel fighter. The X-wing has three spots for lasers and one missile spot. You might have a hard time mounting three good lasers and a missile launcher though, chances are you will overload your reactor or mass.
The B-wing is not a decent fighter, it's too sluggish for that. It packs a terrible offensive punch though (it has four laser slots and two missile slots).
The A-wing has one laser slot and one missile slot. The shielding is all up to which component you stick into it. You are of course limited by mass and reactor output.

Ok, hopefully this will be the last question for a bit
Since I'll be stuck with a Z-95 for awhile, how good is the craft? How many weapon slots does it have? Is it able to fight pretty well?
Thanks!
Again that depends on the components used. Since it is low on the tree it doesnt have much max mass and that equals not very good components because the better ones and high masses but it should get you to the stronger ships soon enough

If u want to use a TIe Fighter even though im a master pilot would i be able to still compete with higher level ships?
No, b/c of the Norm TIE's mass limit it would be impossible to fill it out w/ 10 or even 7 lvl components. Therefore even though your master you be restrained to the lower end componenets and jget ur butt kicked

If you were a good enough pilot could you at least last a while in combat ?
Also, i dont suppose there will be any command carriers (AKA super stardestroyers) in JTL.

Well, you can last a while, but don't expect to do any damage.
No, there are no Super Star Destroyers, and there will most likely never be either. The space zones are just not big enough for it.

I GOT QUESTIONS!!!
1.What is the best things to craft to get to Master Shipwright?
Chassis right up the chassis line. Then do the rest. I have mastered it 3 times on TC trying to get it down pat and this is how I did it.
2. What resources and amounts will I need to master?
I went through over 2 million in various resources. Lots of steel and alum is the big one.
3. Does anyone have a rough pricing for the ship chassis?
Expect a hueg cost in the hundreds of thousands or more starting. Then it will drop slowly over the course of the next few weeks as more and ships hit the market. You have to realize that 90% of the ship itms are hand crafted. You cant use a factory. So it takes time.
(Is there a link to my answers for these at all, any game guides)
Dunno
4. With theVT-49 Decimator how many people can I take aboard?
Dunno. Only made one for a player and he had to log so I didnt take a ride.
5. So does the VT-49 Decimator take lots How many? (I've heard 2 lots then i hear 1 lot???)
Dunno again.
6. Has lag been bad in space?
Lag for me hasnt been bad at all. Only thing that drives me nuts is the enemy ship taunts. You actually freeze up sometimes while the taunt loads. But after that its cool.
I think thats all, I hope mind get answered

overall what is the best pvp non mp ship?
Answer is "The one that's right for you."
Sorry but I cant tell you the best. No one can. Every ship has its own in and outs. One person maybe awesome in an inetrceptor but suck in an agressor.
Best thing you can do is fly them all and pick for yourself. And remember. The biggest isnt always the best.
