I guess that pricing scheme didn't work out so well for him since his shop is now closed. /lol
...and I'm nearly 1/2 a billion richer.
Hate to say it, (ok, not really)... but....

this always makes me laugh when you watched ANH and Luke says, "15 thousand?! We can almost buy our own ship for that!"

His shop closed up shop because of different reasons... in fact Jergo Spacecraft was very, very successfull and well visited. The call of other MMORPG'sapparently was very alluring. Therefore... I told you so is not really in order...

It is not possible for you to say that it was "burnout' because you are not Jergo. His reason for leaving was not due to the "burn" of the Shipwright profession but due to "attractive" aspects offered by the other MMORPG's that appeared to be lacking within SWG outside of crafting. He apparently has seen some flaws in those other games and maybe returning. You paint with too wide of a brush if you point burnout as the reason... and to say he is wrong... well, I'm sure there are many, many customers that would point to the contrary and onlya few price gouging SW's who would point to your favour.

this whole thread is proof he is wrong as I clearly explained in one of my first posts.

Dingo, the fact that you have to revisit this post and claim "victory" without knowing the facts is petty and hollow. Your statement of: "the whole thread is proof he is wrong" can not be justified.
EPC Shipyards is alive, then I congratulate you on your successfull venture. But Jergo Shipyards being dead is not due to circumstances which can attributed to a pricing scheme.

The fact that Jergo would make such a post insinuating anybody charging more than him is petty and hollow. He has madestatements to undermine the market by selling below value of resources. No points for Jergo.
I'll attribute them to it since Jergo is always scared to refute anything he knows is true. Point being the lack of responses to many valid points in this thread where he just goes off on a tangent rather than debating an issue.
I win. Jergo loses.

Somebody's a legend in their own mind
The only thing your demonstrating is the Shipwright sterotype of being a snooty money grubbing worm.
Now that the initial rush is over, i see ALOT of SW's just not restocking their vendors anymore, or at best only a couple select items. As more and more people master, the less buisness you guys will recieve.
As many wannbe SWs as their are, at some point the supply will exceed the demand, and prices will either: drop, or skyrocket to make up for the lost sales, which is most likely the case given SW's need for a high markup.

I'll glady take your opinion into consideration when you master shipwright. Till then, your thoughts aren't worth a cdef loot drop.

I am a master shipwright on Shadowfire server. I have a merchant tent with a variety of vendors selling all sorts of usefull stuff. A large amount of my trade in ships and components is the components, not the ships. I sell my ships at about 2 to 3 CPU plus a reasonable amount for labour and upkeep of myharvesters. I dont make a lot of profit on ships but do make quite a bit on components. The bottom line is one product line subsidises another and my prices are varied depending on the demand. Bottom line ships I sell real cheap because the novice players cant afford any more. Top ships are top price because these players have more wealth and experience.
Pricing is market driven not resource cost driven. Which is why my vendors get more than 50 hits per day and Iam very rich. My customers are very happy and keep coming back for more. Try selling complete ship packages. Works great and you will make huge profits for your efforts.
