I was 2-2-2-2 yesterday and had enough xp stored away to train my first tier3 box. Then I got so frustrated by this missions that I quit the Imp Navy and work on Rebel faction now, praying that their missions are not that insane. Also the fact that my dream ship, the Tie/Interceptor, only has 1 gun mount instead of 2 (one cannon on every wingtip) caused me to desert.

Stuck in the same one here..

Yeah, its 5 parts, and its the last one that makes it so darn hard. A freaking huge load of Tier FIVE ships come at you.. It's so much fun, really.

Ok well, for those on the first mission for Denner I have a few tips. I played this mission for almost 12 hours before I gave up and got some buddies to help out (best route). However if you must do it solo (which is nearly impossible) here are somethings that I found usefull.

1.) Disable all ships. Dont worry about blowing them up, it takes too much time. Just target the reactor, waste it and move on. The way the mission is set up, it wont send more waves until you are down to your last 2 ships. When a ship is disabled, it will sit there for about 5 minutes before it auto destructs. If your quick, you will have abou 2 minutes between each wave to recharge your shields.

2.) The capture part is hard, target the Bwing first. Its slow and easy to disable. Go for the reactor though, it has a turret of some kind that has a large fire arc so even disabled it makes for a nasty target if you just took the engine out.

3.) Part 3 is fairly easy, 1 Awing to cripple and inspect.

4.) The 4th section was the hardest for me. The disabled transport sits next to a small asteroid field which happens to have 5 Tier 4 ships, they will attack the moment you start docking. The Tier 4s arent even part of the mission which sucks so disable them quickly, dock and run. You have to escort the transport for about 5-10 minutes.

5.) Its over, you dock with the shuttle and are on your way.

The whole mission takes a little over an hour. I had 2 friends in TIE/INs come with me and we did really well the second time through. The Tier 4s in part 4 gave us the most trouble.

The second mission is impossible solo. Right off the bat you must fight 5 Tier 4 Xwings/Awings (its a combination of both, I think it was 3 awings 2 xwings). Thats as far as I got solo haha. With my friends, it goes on, you end up fighting a Rebel Gunship later on which mad short work of me, it has turrets to cover all angles so you better have some good shields.

I hope this gets addressed, I was doing so well until I ran into this trainer, now its like I hit a brick wall.

I've tried it 4 times now. First time with only one friend, last three times with 5-7 (yes SEVEN) other pilots ranging from 1111 to 2222. The enemies target me and kill me instantly on the part after ispecting the lonely ship (part 3 I think). Once I flew in the outer parts of the fight, and then everything despawned, saying something about me being too far away.

Anyway, this is not the way it is supposed to be. I've spent more than 6 hours straight on it.

As someone said "I was doing fine until I met this trainer". Couldn't be more true.

If only the progress would get saved, but nope... Redo it all, even if you fail (or bug out) on the last mission.

I can't find people willing to go up there anymore, everyone has given up hope. Just mentioning the quest gives bad vibes at the starport.

Yes, all the AI will target you at first. If your buddies get a few good shots onto the AI, they will retarget the person doing the most damage. This is a mandatory group mission, though I wish they would have added some text giving me the warning.

But yeah, the first one is hard, the second is suicidal. Im afraid to think what the next mission or next trainer is.

Just out of curiosity, is being part of the Imperial Navy next to impossible or is it just Storm Squadron? I'm tempted to resign and become a member of Black Epsilon at this point. It would probably be quicker to relevel under a different squad then wait for the devs to do anything or try and fiend people willing/capable of helping. It's SOE's fault... they've conditioned the playerbase into a 'solo' mentality that grouping is 'taboo' for most people now (I really can't wait for the combat rebalance).

Im stuck on this same mission. Captain Denner sucks. I have tried it with up 5people that ranged from tier 1 and 2and failed. I guess I need to bribe an Ace or two to come do the mission for me.

I did it on the 7th try with one friend who was the same level as me (2222). Trick is when the last freighter hypers out you have to hyper from endor to endor because you will not be able to kill the t4 baddies that are left. I was desperate and tried it and my mission didn't fail like I thought it would, but I was almost dead so I had no choice.

It really ticks me off that this was not fixed in beta ... a five step mission that is 90% non-soloable with mobs up to three tiers higher is just not right. I had a group of 3 2/2/2/2 with me, took us over an hour to get to the end and at the very end a tier5 ship came out of nowhere and blew me away. This really needs to be toned down or made incremental.
