All I saw was the boring one with ships going about that im sure most of us have seen more or less the same thing before.

I have a few questions though, if your allowed to answer them that is.


1) What are the size of the space areas? are they similar to the size of the planetary maps (14km x 14km x 14km???) or smaller, bigger etc?


2) Will there be any areas in space that may work like battlefields (i.e. you fly in and you are able to attack anybody for fun and vice versa and only have minimal/no penalties upon death?


3)You said you guys are thinking of trying to possibly add a few mew multi-player crafts in the future before/after launch. Have a Corellian Corvette or the YT-2400 come into dicussion when the devs talk about possibly adding a few more?


4) I understand that there will be 8 planetary based space areas, corellia and talus being grouped in one area, and naboo and rori also in one. Will there be other planets, that you wont be able to visit, but see in space, in these sectors? For example, if I leave talus, will I beable to see Tralus next to it, orbitting around centerpoint? Or Selonia or other planets that we cant go to, but are in a sector with other planets?


5) In X-wing vs. TIE fighter it was possible to control the energy distribution to different parts of the ship (i.e. drain power from the shields and add it to the engines), will this be possible in Jump to Lightspeed?


6) Do ships suffer decay over time like vehicles?


7) You say ships dont really get destroyed? does that mean that they would NEVER get destroyed, and only suffer damage that needs to be repaired, like a pet? or does this mean that it can be destroyed, but only if not repaired enough?

I too thought E3 went very well for us. Highlight for me was talking to some of the forum people in person. I'm sure I'll get to do a lot more of that at Fan Fest in a couple weeks. (Of course the bigger highlight was passing the harder questions off onto Thunderheart ).


Everyone who saw JTL really seemed to like it. I don't know how many times I heard "I can't wait to get it" or "I'm going to resubscribe after seeing this in person." The truest testement to the designers though is that the demoers were having fun playing it all throughout E3. There were times when I asked TH if he wanted a break and he said, "I'm having too much fun blowing away Tie Fighters now."


One question I didn't see listed here but heard at E3is about accounts. Just to clear it up, you don't have to get Jump to Lightspeed to continue playing SWG (though you won't be able to access things such as flying space ships and playingthe new professions if you don't). Each account requires a unique CD key to be enabled for JTL. If you enable JTL for one account but not for another, you'll be able to play both accounts (just one won't be able to go into space). Our future publishes will likely have stuff for the ground game and the space game.

I still want to get my question answered! It shouldn't be too hard for a Dev or someone like that to answer.
Will players have enough skill points for both factioned and nuetral Pilot? Like, would a player be able to master both Rebel and Nuetral pilot? I want a B-Wing and a YT-1300. Will I be able to get both?
That's all I want to know!

Yay =D i thought it wasn't possible because of lag! and the engine! thats a very nice feature!

AND its nice to hear that there properly will be more than the YT-1300 that will be able to carry passengers at launch! then we wont see 100's of those in space ! =D

But what about making it possible for player cities to have starports ? =) AND please!!!! make it possible for more cities than 10 to have shuttleport! just make it so they need a proper amount of citizents! its annoying to wait for a shuttleport gets removed from another city when your city is far away from any other cities!

Thank you for informing us and for cleaning out the rumors =)

Great job, thanks for the excellent info. Just a question to clarify something that some of us are wondering. This is on another thread or two and I think it'd be helpful to get an official dev response.



Will those of us who are running multiple accounts (personally i have 3 current and active accounts) have to buy a JTL Expansion for each account? meaning, If I have 3 accounts will I need to buy 3 copies of JTL in order to have all my accounts access the space content?



Im looking for a DEV response here. Ive seen a bunch of answers from other community members and they are all contridictory. some say yes others say no. So Shug, if you can let us know we'd be greatly appreciative!!

The question I have is how many ships can we have in our datapads? Are we limited to one,or if we can have more than one, will that take up aground vehicle slot or not?
