Same here, I used to have to search through my inven while travelling to the next waypoint and space the junk loot to make room for something that could be decent.
Now I get back on the ground with 3 or 4 pieces.

I just spent another 1.5 hours in kessel, and guess what? Only one L8 armor was dropped from a Y-Wing, and that's all.

The best looting is gotten from T4 duty missions now. Go back to your trainers and run them ad infinitum. T4s and T5s share the same loot tables, as you can loot L8-L10 gear from T4s as much as you can from T5s.
Kessel's just barren. An empty void where you're lucky to find five ships within 1500m of one another, whereas huge spawns could be found pre-patch.

Can an Ace still get duty missions?
Yes, just go back to your T4 trainer and take the destroy mission.
It might seem tedious, but it's the only way to make sure you get spawns that only YOU can kill and still make decent money doing it. 200 T4s and the occasional T5 is better than putzing around Kessel looking for what isn't there anymore.
Unfortunately there's no trainer that gives Tier IV duty missions that involve killing factional targets.

They are probably nerfing it back as they most likely found you can actually make enough money as a pilot to afford the ships and components and they certainly can't have that.

Last night I flew in Lokian space blasting ties and blacksuns for 1.5 hours. I got about 20 pieces of loot including a level 6 engine with all stats in the 60's and a piece of level 6 armour that was 1000/1000. This stuff may not be amazing but it ain't bad.

Can't say I've noticed a change. Even pre-patch there were times when I'd get little to no loot and other times I'd get swamped with the stuff. Last night and this morning was the same. Picked up loads of loot on one tour and some of it was pretty good. But another tour turned up very little.

Well it seems like it comes in spurts to me. I keep my backpack at around 18 items, and just the clothes on my back in my main pack. I go do the tier 4 blacksun destroy mission twice and I usually come close to filling up both packs. Now I can't say the loot is always good, but it seems that I get quite a few items...
You can boo me if you want, but I've done these missions at least 4 dozen times over the past two weeks and it's been pretty consistant.

Just to follow up: I spent about an hour flying last night in Endor against some BS and some "Evil raiders" and scored about 20 pieces of loot of varying levels. Seems fine to me.

Yeah things seem to be fine. I just had a dry run there for a few nights. (Last night esp. but I only spent 1 hr upstairs and still scored almost 100k without even trying).

You know why this game keep getting crapy, its not beacuse of the devs, its beacuse of the whiners and fool the devs for listen to them.
