Well, i dont think we should really get any sort of gift for this date slippage, or any free play as the date slipping back does not mean wecant play SWG.

Yes im in UK, yes im bummed about the release date moving back but it happens all the time with games. It affects us even more as this is an online game but still, there is nothing we can do.

Personally, i'd be perfectly happy with word from SOE about this, and an apology. The fact that they havn't done that yet is what makes it worse. Its just down to bad customer relations, end of.

There is no justice for cheating a game system that's in place. You pre-order from the companies offering the Flash-speeder or you don't. You either rate the 6 month REWARD...or you don't. Sorry you gotta wait 2 extra weeks, but that is absolutly no justification for you to rate one GIFT from a company you didn't order from, and it sure as crap doesn't mean you rate a 6 month REWARD.

Im just putting some suggestions for compensation here for THE BIG FAILURE what's happening on the JTL Release Distribution!!

Its not the end of the world. If two weeks is going to get you that pissed off, then quit. Pretty simple, did you expect more from SOE. I did not even order JTL, I am waiting at least a month for the bugs that are out there, and the more bugs that will be discovered to be fixed. Remember the launch of SWG?

Ok, so was anything actual said officially as to the original request for some sort of token gesture by SOE for the terrible delay for European players on European Servers?

Personally I think the idea of allowing anybody who can prove that they pre-ordered the game should still receive the flash-speeder the same as is applicable in the US. Ideally though I would have like to seen the JTL not activated on the European Servers till there was a game released in Europe, oh-well, to late for that now.

hell the speeder may be crap, but its undestructable, means no more blowing up when on overt missions, or NS hunting

Its not so much the lack of bonus items (I saw the Flash on beta and didnt want it there either, looks retarded; and the sorosuub will reach everyone sooner or later) but the way SOE have handled this and arbitrarily dealt with the UK release (cant talk about other countries but I assume it is similar) is frankly insulting, especially the message left by the Dev's when announcing the delay.

My subscription money is as good as any other player's, wherever they reside... this is an onlineMMORPG and as such, has its own economy, to disable a section of that society in this manner for any period of time (whether it is for2 hours, days, weeks or months) is detrimental to the competitiveness of the disabled society. I appreciate many of you (from the above comments) may think I am taking this too personally, but having spent time and money to build a business in the game in the past, being put at a disadvantage like this is damaging to gameplay and enjoyment. Fortunately, I do not have a great deal (some, though) riding on this expansion, but I am sure there are many that do. And whilst it is only a game, it is a game which can take up a considerable amount of time and effort.

I agree, JTL should certainly not have been introduced to the European Servers until completion of theEuropean release of the Expansion.

Furthermore, given that global releases are not an uncommon occurance these days, married with the online patching of the game (most players only need the CD key to activate! why didnt SOE make this an option for all current SWG subscribers?) as well as the detrimental effect it will make on gameplay, mentioned above...

SOE could have and should have done a great deal better than they have.

BTW it's not only SOE that does this whit non-uw players. almost all game companys does this.

And it's not SOE fault it's tha game distributor. activision if im not mistaken on that.

Just look at most of the MMO games,they all do the same. EU and asia are thelast to get them. !!!!

I really don't see why there is such a problem with shipping the games here in the first place.

1. they have facts and figures on how many peope are playing

2. they have facts and figures on how many people pre-ordered - that is the whole point of preordering

3. Do we not have any CD production facilities in Europe? Could the code not have been sent by secure FTP or courier to a plant tostart pressing the discs here?

4. what is the problem with being able to buy a key code online and then download the files? Scared we might not get the manual? big deal it is already out of date from what I have been hearing.

As some sort of compensation I would much rather have something that is a europe only item to distinguish us from other players like the flash speeders do for the US. Fat chance of that happening.

I would not be so bothered if I could train as a shipwright without having the expansion, it is not like I need to go into space to do that is it?

This really is very very wrong and something should be done fast, even if it is just a formal apology from whoever is to blame for this fiasco.

Seems more like you have an issue with our friends from the USA more than a nark about the game being delayed in Europe. You bang on about compensation in the same breath and this culture which funnily enough is blamed as from coming over from the states. Think your wires need sorting out m8y.

Stop your whinging. I'm in the UK and bought mine from the gamestop. So. In fact. I'M laughing at you too! LOL! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

As mentioned before games slip all the time. Chill and when it DOES come out you will be even more happier. Instead of sounding like a petulant sulky 4yr old. Did you stamp your foot on the ground when you found out that your game was delayed?

I don't mind games being released later here than anywhere else, I have come to expect it and it is no longer a big deal, but when it is a game that requires everyone playing together to have the same code and content and has players form all over the world on at the same time it is just plain wrong.

I don't resent anyone for having it before me at all, it is just that there has been a huge mess made of what could have been a very simple issue
