Next question:
Where do I find the info that Kessel is a "forced covert" zone?
Cause it must stand somewhere as I always hear Kessel is a non pvp zone....
It is not a Non PvP zone, they changed it from an open PvP zone to a PvE zone till they could fix the master mission ganking problem. People were camping the zone in point and load ganking people entering Kessel to do their master missions. So to fix this problem they changed the ruleset of Kessel to prevent this. I am assuming it is temporary until they can move the master missions to another zone.

You don't speak for the rest of us, thanks.
No, he speaks for the majority of us that do not PvP (and we are the majority of players). Everyone has the option to go overt in space and PvP any damn place they choose, do you see this happening? No, you know why? Because there are not as many of you as you think there are.
Wow, a math major on our hands.
Leave the stats to the pros, please.
I am fully aware that the basis for the game is PvE, but you underestimate the number ofpeople that actually want to fight others in this so called GCW.
Now, for the rest of you...
The majority of us are not griefers, so stuff your attitude.
Maybe not but the few of you that did sit at the hyperspace zone point and gank people as they entered the sector is what caused this change. You have no one to blame but them.
I am aware of that as well, but removing PvP from Kessel was a knee jerk reaction to appease the whiners, plain and simple.
They could of done 3 things that actually made SENSE.
- PvP damage reduction
- Random load points or a load timer
- Move the freaking mission out of the zone!
I realize that they might still do those options eventually, but they should of considered those first, and left changing Kessel to PvE as a last resort.
This is what they need to do, to appease both sides.
Make Kessel a PvP zone again, but move the master mission out of the zone.
Okay genius, how the hell do you not know that the way the devs did this was a temp fix so they could code the master missions into another zone. This was a quick fix to stop the mindless ganking that was going on. You need to use some common sense before you post such nonsense.
It may be temporary, it may not. SOE seems to cater to the biggest whiners. Worked for Jedi, didn't it?
Here is what I see happening.
It will stay like it is until everyone and their brother is a Master Pilot.
Then the crybabies will come out, claming that they don't have enough content.
Then, and only then, will LOGICAL solutions be implimented to make Kessel a fun and interesting place.
A logical thought like that sure beats gloating and being condecending, dosen't it?

Overall I would love to see Kessel PvP again but not at the expense of getting ganked without being able to defend myself.
Again, logical soultions. Load timer, load points, etc.
I am sure that once the devs have the master missions coded somewhere else you precious few PvP'ers will get your sector back. Until then just delcare and PvP all you want. Afterall you have that option.
Few?
Don't quit your day job man. This whole calculating thing isint working out very well for you.

I know that already. I only want to hear the answers from the ones that proclaim that these change took away all the pvp possibilities.
Oh okay

Heh..
I, and others areaware of the other options, miss sarcasm.
Kessel is at least a bit of eye candy, and plus it's part of SW lore. Ever hear of Deep Space in the movies?
Going overt is all well and good, and I admit, more people should be doing it, but why would people waste time finding a factionally alligned space station, go overt, and go search for PvP, when they can load into Kessel, and bam....insta PvP.
Again, move the master mission out of the zone, and you wont have to worry about us. We can have our playground, and you can go around and chase AI.
Both sides appeased. No more arguing and bickering.

No, I am not underestimating the number. How many of you do you see overt in space? I have been all over almost all the sectors except deep space overt and I have never run into a singe opposing overt member. That tells me right there that PvP is a minority in this game. You all have the option to go overt and PvP till your heart is content yet you do not.
Now, for the rest of you...

No it was what was need fast to stop the ganking. You think you could have fixed it faster. Apply for a job there and do it. We have no right to sit here and judge the devs on what they did. It could have taken alot longer to code the missions into a new zone and they would have lost more accounts leaving it as it was until they could code the missions to another zone. I believe they did the best thing they could.
This is what they need to do, to appease both sides.
Make Kessel a PvP zone again, but move the master mission out of the zone.

What you think that some people should not get master pilot, what makes you so special? Everyone deservers to get master pilot as much as anyone else.
Crybabies are a staple of online game unfortunately. And the crying about no content only comes from powergamers that zip through as much of the content as they can as quickly as they can. I have yet to see a casual gamer complain about no content. Hell I have been with this game since beta 3 and I have yet to see half the content it originally had.
Logical solution come with time and we as gamers need patience, something I have not seen from quite a few in the forum community.

Agreed, this should have been done in the first place but I also think that having a master mission against PvE opponents and then throwing in the possibility that 3 or more players could come in and take you out while your being damaged by several PvE opponents was just a bad decision in the first place.
I am sure that once the devs have the master missions coded somewhere else you precious few PvP'ers will get your sector back. Until then just delcare and PvP all you want. Afterall you have that option.

I would say the same for you. See my reason above for my assumptions on how many PvP. If PvP was so big then you would see more people overt out there in any sector blasting each other into space dust.

And chasing around mindless AI makes you smarter?
No, it doesn't make me any smarter then the idiot player that has just killed someone going OMG I just ownz'd joo or whatever that leet speak crap is. Using intelligence in the argument is moot as Player attitude is usually what turns people away from PvP anyways.
